GOTV!

So get out there and make sure you're registered, or perhaps others are registered. That means text, msg, and call everyone you know to make sure they're good to go. Then, like I said before, GOTV. Yeah, I too have wasted time this weekend, but now's the time to get back on that horse:

So here, try to do something rather than doomscroll, as remember, doing a denial of services attack against us all is part of Trump's plan. So don't fret, act: The Senate is also important, so Actblue is place you can donate. 

Swing Left has a virtual phone bank you can participate in (and some other ways like donations etc). 
Resistance Labs is where you can text to get out the vote. 
Vote Forward is a way to do postcards to help improve voter turnout. (last day to mail out letters was yesterday, mail them out if you haven't!)
Princeton Election Consortium has a list of races where your money will make the most difference. They have Senate races by "power" (where your money, and ostensibly your time, goes the furthest). Currently the most important states are: MT>KS>AR>SC>ME. So see if you can do something or spend some $ there. 
Here's the one for the Presidential race. Currently, the states where you can have the most influence are: AR>NV>PA>NC>AR>GA. So give those a try. Note that this is a little different from 538's polls which show the closest states being: PA, NC, OH, FL, GA, IA, TX, AR, WI. So If you spend your time or money there, that's fine too. 
And one for redistricting, if you're interested.  Also, if you need to make a plan: here.  Or one thing you can do. 

Of course this doesn't mean that our work is over even if the Dems win (there will still be work to do), but it's a good first step. Let me know if I've missed something.

Schadensurfing

Apparently the right (and the MSM), the people who ran entire campaigns on "fuck your feelings" think the left is being a little too mean right now. In all seriousness, fuck that noise. Above is how many of us feel with this idiot (who was positive then tried to spread it to Biden). Guess what would happen to poor or minorities if they did something even close to this? Yeah. Trump is Positive

So here we are. Trump has the Covid (or so they say, we'll see, I'm betting on yes, given their no masks policies). The right trying to pretend that they didn't spend months gleeful that Covid  was hitting darker people are asking Dems to be nice. Naw. I wish upon him and his ilk all that they wish upon people like me. That being said, there is going to be some interesting times coming up.  Especially since the right seems to want to scream at everyone but themselves (see: "China got our POTUS infected", see,  "How come the Dems don't have it?"), nevermind that the virus isn't a moral agent and perhaps if you actually took the science seriously you wouldn't be in this situation (though, really, I do wonder why it took so long).

Luckily Biden seems to be negative. Also the debates are probably on hold for now.

Doomscrolling Again? Don't Worry, Me Too.

The SCOTUS thing had me down. Now, I've finished my first set of letters and working on the next ones. I enjoy the letter writing because it's something I can do after work and errands are done (and not disturb people). Also it's supposed to be effective. Note: make a factory line out of the letters. Write all the return addresses, your story (shorten it, but make it real) and sign them all, then go back through with the names etc. Hope that helps. Still a fan of votefwd.org (remember to pick the ones that are targeting democratic voters).

Trump Failure Porn and Other Liberal Talking Points.

 Here we go again. All over the liberal sphere we see the Trump Failure Porn on full. Like "trump has spent all his cash he's in trouble!" Or "trump meltdown!" First, there's no such thing as a Trump meltdown if that's his average day. A meltdown speaks to some final end to his craziness, or the pinnacle thereof. He's not there yet and hasn't been in a while. Same with the cash being spent. Sure he's probably skimming that money for himself, but he gets free ads from the MSM (most of them just ready to call him presidential, just please, daddy Trump, say something nice... and he did for RBG and now it's gone) and is a living embodiment of "no such thing as bad press."
