Veteran's Day
Here we are, another Veteran's Day and our election saga continues. The right is essentially saying black votes in cities are illegal. Meanwhile they haven't actually brought forward anything worthwhile in terms of actual evidence. Biden is doing a "keep calm and carry on" demeanor, and some people seem to like this (projects certainty, doesn't it?)... but man does it give me 2016 vibes of HRC and the Dems trying to be proper in front of a carnival barker and promptly losing. IOW they go low we go high only works in very rare circumstances and really doesn't in other ones.
But I think I'll side with policy and propaganda as mattering in this election. Leadership and other matters seem too ill-defined to matter. Seriously, I think many GOPers do believe that Trump has those very traits.
Forgiveness is the key to that beginning.
The 75 million Americans who voted for Mr. Biden are not going to suddenly erase the 71 million Americans who voted for Mr. Trump. The 146 million people who voted all have some reconciling to do if we hope, as a country, to heal. For our own sake, for the sake of our children and for the sake of our nation, I couldn’t agree with Mr. Biden more strongly on this point. There’s no policy paper that can guide us in the work of forgiveness. Only a leader can do that.
And I'm not sure I agree with forgiving. Obama bent over backwards to forgive in 2008. Far too much forgiving, if you ask me, and all we got was austerity. We'll probably get that again and it will be the only thing that matters in the end.
Your thoughts?

How's the Right Coping? Not Well, Tommy Boy, Not Well
Because the dumb goes hard in the paint. It appears that for now at least the likes of Fox News has lowered their screaming for Trump (cut off his press sec's tripe but continuing to fuel the flames in other ways). But there's plenty of dumb out there on the right. The MSM, with it's right of center bias tried to pull some "listen to the other side" bullshit again. When HRC had more votes than Trump there was hardly a peep about listening to her people, was there?
[1] As usual our own left-leaning sites were good on this as were the likes of LRB. Probably best to stick with them. Al Jazeera had a curious take on that one that was problematic to say the least.

Biden, President Elect
So I think Biden probably won by far more than is indicated but we might never know how much of a landslide it was (see that even in Fl there are mail in ballots slowed down that didn't come in time and weren't counted).
Which brings me to my next issue: the circular firing squad of the center left and left. First everyone is making assumptions based on bad data so we should wait a little. But the center left's need to punch down at AOC is some sad shit. Just like the MSM's need to say "listen to repubs" when it's never listen to the left, even when we win the popular vote. So no, fuck the repubs who are screaming about deficits already.
Also, there's the matter of those mail in ballots the GOP tried to stop so that they could steal the election. Can someone do a full count. Again, I'm guessing we'll see that the election was in fact a landslide. Peace ya'll

GOTV
First thing you can do is tell everyone you know (friends, family, old friends) to make sure they vote. Suppose you should leave out the right wingers who are trying to destroy the nation as is. Once you've done that, get out there and make sure randos are gonna vote too.
So here are those links yet again (and another link on what the best way to go about it. Basically get good at one thing for one candidate and do that. Better than switching tasks, right?):
So here, try to do something rather than doomscroll, as remember, doing a denial of services attack against us all is part of Trump's plan. So don't fret, act: The Senate is also important, so Actblue is place you can donate.Swing Left has a virtual phone bank you can participate in (and some other ways like donations etc).
Resistance Labs is where you can text to get out the vote.
Vote Forward is a way to do postcards to help improve voter turnout. (last day to mail out letters was last week, mail them out if you haven't!)
Princeton Election Consortium has a list of races where your money will make the most difference. They have Senate races by "power" (where your money, and ostensibly your time, goes the furthest). Currently the most important states are: MT>KS>AR>SC>ME. So see if you can do something or spend some $ there.
Here's the one for the Presidential race. Currently, the states where you can have the most influence are: AR>NV>PA>NC>AR>GA. So give those a try. Note that this is a little different from 538's polls which show the closest states being: PA, NC, OH, FL, GA, IA, TX, AR, WI. So If you spend your time or money there, that's fine too.
And one for redistricting, if you're interested. Also, if you need to make a plan: here. Or one thing you can do.
Of course this doesn't mean that our work is over even if the Dems win (there will still be work to do), but it's a good first step. Let me know if I've missed something.
