Misty Harvey loves writing spine-tingling horror novels sure to thrill readers. The psychology behind such tales has always been a fascination for her since she was younger. Even to the point that she once contemplated taking up psychology as a profession. Still, her love resides in the art of storytelling. An art she wishes to continue to share with readers for the rest of her days.

After climbing out of her writing cave and searching the house for the sound of the latest creak or pop, Misty can be found doing one of many things. Often times she spends the remainder of her day with her amazingly supportive husband and youngest daughter. Haha. No really, writer's block generally is something in my brain grinding the project to a halt. It usually has a lot to deal with something isn't right in the story. Either my characters aren't behaving the way their personalities tell them to, or maybe the chapter I'm writing isn't working with the novel.

This is usually when I take a moment to really think about the story and the characters. Have I taken them down a wrong path? Is there enough energy and suspense in the chapter?

I don't consider writer's block an actual block, but rather it is my subconscious telling me that something isn't right. Like a natural flow to the story that somehow I can feel.(less)

Hm...there is so much about being a writer that is amazing. I love the freedom in creation. The art of telling the story, but I'd have to say hands down the best thing about it is hearing from people that have read your stories, that love your characters as much as you.

I'll even take those that don't like them because they're taking the time to tell you why. We can't please everyone.(less)

A New Month

Hello, Readers!

What a crazy world we live in these days, right? So much is going on. Our house has been fortunate enough to avoid Covid19, but both our doctor and a dear friend has had it. That includes the fact our doctor spent time in the hospital with it.

May was a month of stopping and finding me again. Reconnecting with the Hubby man, and watching our youngest graduate high school. While our
