I began writing in 2010 while sailing down the freeway in our RV. I love to place my characters in unlikely situations where escape is questionable, yet freedom is possible through God's power and His Word. I'm a retired teacher turned author and live with my husband in beautiful Alabama. ...more

However, if I could go to a fictional book world, I would make it one set in Israel. I would love to tour the land where Jesus once walked. (less)

When I wrote the Almond Tree series, I self published the first three books then had the fourth, Almond Street Mission, ready to publish. About that time, I had opportunity to join Forget Me Not Romance, a division of Winged Publication, with editor Cynthia Hickey. So Almond Street Mission went to her. Since I hadn't published the other books with her, I didn't include it in the series. I know that sounds confusing. That's the last book in the series, but I have another series with Cynthia: the Woodlyn Series. This one takes place in the Pacific Northwest and the characters return to the next book along with the addition of new characters. If you enjoyed the Almond Tree Series, you might enjoy this one. Take a look at my blog and check out my books. The series is listed there as well as my latest, A Home for Fritz, based on a real dog we met up with last summer.

Do You Really Know How To Trust God?

In lieu of making resolutions, every year around the first of January, I ask God what I need to focus on for the next three hundred sixty-five days. Most years I jot my goal down in my journal.

This year, I sensed Him saying trust, trust, trust. For a control freak and planner like me, that’s not as easy as it sounds.

Why is it so hard to trust the Maker of the universe, the mighty God of the Bible?
