I write middle-grade, YA, and am also an illustrator with my eyes set on some picture books in the future of my career. My middle-grade novel, The City Beneath the Stones, is a available as an e-book on Amazon.com. My YA novel, Juggernaut - a modern retelling of a teen growing up in pre-WWII Nazi Germany - is finally complete, and on submission (fingers crossed!) And on to a little sci-fi that speaks to my heart.

Working as a Graphic Designer never satisfied me, but losing my job was a blessing in disguise. Writing feels right to me and I'd never trade it for what I had. Ever. I'd love to meet and online-chill with other authors, especially in my chosen genres, so add me if you like, I don't bite - hard. ;)

I just wish I were dead!” I often said, sometimes brimming with tears. I teetered daily, sometimes hourly, between this crazy love-of-life elation and being so lonely I couldn’t stand myself or anyone arou... Read more of this blog post »

In all fairness, I quit this book at the 75% mark. It's not that it was a bad book. It was well written, cute, the characters had their own unique personalities, the story was clear and the plot was relatively interesting, etc., etc..

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
"I am in 6th grade. My Language Arts teacher assigns us a book report; tells us we can choose the book but that our grade will be based on the maturity of the novel the report is based upon.

My mother and I are in K-mart. I've mentioned to her about..." Read more of this review »

I remember reading this in high school, but only remembered fragments, and thought I'd give it another go as an adult. I enjoyed it so much better this way, now with more knowledge and experience under my belt. A grand statement, written in 1950, abo ...more
