PRE-RELEASE TOUR: Pierson: The Meager Boys Story by J Kahele

PIERSONThe Meager Boys Storyby J KaheleGenre: contemporary romance
After his father's passing, Pierson Meager is left with much responsibility, undertaking the running of the family business and the fathering of his three younger brothers. For all the changes in his life, things are comfortable, uniform, and exactly how Pierson likes it—until an agreement with a stranger turns it upside down.

Susan Coyle is a driven woman, so when the position of Marketing CEO opens up at her company, she will do whatever it takes to land that job, even if it means cutting a deal with an absolute stranger. What Susan doesn’t realize is that this stranger will not only show her the real importance of life, but he will also unearth a tragic past she fought so hard to forget.

The dress Lilly had chosen left little to the imagination: It was tightly-fitted, red, strapless, and barely covered my behind. The matching shoes were six-inch heels, which made them about six inches too high for me. I cursed as I wobbled, yanking the hem of the dress down, wishing I had worn one of my tailored business suits and comfortable flats.

As I walked up to the restaurant door, I contemplated driving back to my condo and changing, but I knew there was no time. Being late was not something I wanted to add to my already-long list of problems with trying to land this promotion.

I hobbled inside and tripped on the flower-print rug. Plunging forward, I grabbed onto a partition to avoid doing a face-plant on the ground. I regained my composure after the near-fatal fall and peered around the restaurant. I noticed a bar to the left and a man sitting, sipping on a drink. He was tall and I could tell in good shape, as his broad shoulders fit snugly to his dark blue suit. I looked him over before seeing his red tie. This had to be Mark, the escort waiting for me.

I made my way over to him and exhaled. “Hi,” I whispered.

He turned. I was taken aback as I got a good look at his face. He had these iridescent blue eyes, flawless skin, square jaw shadowed by a light beard, prominent chin, and high cheek bones. He looked unreal, like a model you would see in a posh magazine.

He flashed a smile. “Well, hello.” Even his voice was sexy: deep, sultry, and smooth. I could have swooned over this gorgeous man, but this was business; I needed to keep it that way.

I extended my hand to him. “I’m Susan. You must be Mark.”

His blinked as he regarded my comment carefully. Then his lip quirked up on one side. “Yes, I am. Mark, that is.”

“Do you mind if I sit?”

He gestured to the chair next to him. “By all means, please.” I sat down and he rose two fingers up at the bartender, who walked over. Mark turned back to me. “Can I get you a drink?”

I nodded. “White wine, please.”

“The lady would like white wine, Frank.” The bartender reached under the counter, and placed a wine flute in front of me. He grabbed a green wine bottle, and poured it into my glass.

I lifted the glass. “Thank you,” I muttered to the bartender. He smiled, then walked over to another patron.

The picture of Mark flashed into my head, and I couldn’t help but take a peek between his legs. I could definitely see a bulge, but in my guesstimate, it was about seven inches. Not that I was an expert in penis sizes.

“Excuse me, can I help you with something?”

Shit. I was caught. I looked up at him and flushed as he rose his eyebrows. “Sorry, I was checking out your pants, they’re, uh… very nice.”

“Mhm.” He shook his head.

Okay, so I will never earn a living as a detective, but can you blame me for taking a peek?

I took a sip from my glass before turning back to Mark. “So do you do this often?”

He cocked his head to the side, looking at me curiously. “I’m not quite sure what you mean?”

“You know, posing as women’s fiancés? I’m sure you’re use to being under the covers, more often than out of them.” I burst out laughing. “Sorry. I couldn’t resist,” I mumbled as I snorted.

He shook his head. “Susan, I really have no clue what you are talking about, could you please elaborate?”

I shrugged. “Your job as an escort. I mean, I’m sure this is odd, you know, just going to dinner.”

A sinister grin spread across his face. He chuckled and slid his hand up my thigh. I placed my hand as a road block, stopping him in his tracks.

“You don’t have to do that,” I said.

He pushed my hand away. “Oh, but it’s what you hired me for, isn’t it? I surely want to make sure you get your money’s worth, now don’t I?”

My throat went dry. “I just want you to pretend you are my fiancé to my boss, that’s all,” I practically choked on my words. He slid his hand down the bare part of my back, sending a shivering tingle throughout my body. I closed my eyes, embracing it.

I felt his hot breath against my neck. “If you want, we can take this to a more private environment? My apartment is just down the road. Or if you’d like, we could go to your place.” He blew into my ear and slid his tongue down my neck. Moisture beaded between my legs. Heat scorched through my body.

“Susan.”

I whipped my head around. Standing behind me was Craig Sendical and his wife, Maggie. Talk about perfect timing. I exhaled with a smile.

Craig Sendical had salt and pepper hair and was fit for his age of 60. Maggie had dyed strawberry blonde hair with not a wrinkle on her face, from the many facelifts and Botox she received. So I heard through gossip at the office. She talked like a Marionette, her lips barely moving from all the chemicals.

I stood up.

“Hi, Craig, Maggie, I would like you to meet my fiancé—”

Craig extended his hand past me. “Pierson Meager.”

I stood stunned. Pierson? No his name is Mark.

“Hi, Craig, how are you doing?” Pierson responded with a shake of his hand. He dipped to Maggie’s cheek giving it a quick kiss. “Maggie, you look lovely as ever.”

So not only was his name not Mark, he knew my boss and his wife personally! Oh my God, how could I be so stupid?

“Oh, Pierson, such a charmer.” Maggie blushed.

Yeah, some charmer—more like a back-stabbing sneak!

Craig looked at Pierson, astounded. “I didn’t know you were Susan’s fiancé.”

Pierson draped his arm around my shoulder, giving me a light squeeze. It took all of my control not to push him off. “Yep. She is the love of my life.” His words sent a ripple of anger down my spine.

Craig cupped his chin with his thumb and finger. “Huh, go figure. What a small world we live in.”

“Well, it’s about time someone snatched you. Lucky girl, I’ll say.” Maggie waved her hand in the air.

“Actually, Maggie, it is I who am the lucky one.” Pierson looked down at me and grinned. “Right, honey?” I wanted to slap that grin off his face!

I glared back at him and mumbled, “Yeah… right.”

Craig looped his arm in Maggie’s. “Our table is ready, so why don’t we go have a seat so we can chat?” He turned and walked into the restaurant.

I was fuming. When Craig and Maggie were out of earshot, I leaned to Pierson’s ear. “You lied to me.”

“Oh, dear, I did, didn’t I? I don’t believe you want to discuss that right now, do you?” he asked, almost mocking me in a whisper.

I shook my head. He held out his arm to me. “Shall we?”

Hesitantly, I slid my arm into his and we walked over to the table.

PROMO BOOST: Tangled in Tinsel by Stacy Eaton

TANGLED IN TINSELby Stacy EatonGenre: Contemporary Romance
Welcome to Celebration Township.

Casey Lowe is new in town and hiding from her past. Her next-door neighbor, Thad Wagner, is a sexy police officer, who is good with his hands, and his lips, but Casey refuses to get involved with a married man, and Thad can't seem to understand why she keeps pushing him away. No matter how they try to stay apart, something keeps drawing them together. When an unexpected visitor shows up at Casey's house the week before Christmas, her future is on the line. Will Thad figure it out in time to save her, or will Casey become a conspirator to a murderer?

Tangled in Tinsel is the first book in the thirteen-story novella series that takes place in quaint Celebration Township, Pennsylvania. The rest of the series will begin to release in the fall of 2016.

Ten minutes down the road, a siren caught my attention, and I saw the telltale red and blue lights flashing in my rearview mirror.

“Shit. How fast was I going?” I glanced at the speedometer. “Only sixty-five. What’s the speed limit here?”

“I don’t know,” Brandy said as she glanced over her shoulder. “Maybe it’s your neighbor.”

“Crap, let’s hope it’s not.” I slowed and pulled over to the shoulder, hoping he was only trying to get around me. No such luck as he stopped behind me. “Damn, I think it is him,” I said as I stared harder into the mirror.

“That’s good. I’m sure you can get out of this then,” Brandy said as she put mascara on. “Actually, I’m glad you got pulled over, now I can put my mascara on without getting it all over the place.”

“Figures you would find something good in me being pulled over by the police,” I retorted as I dug through my purse for my wallet. A tap on my window brought my head up fast, and I lowered the window as I glanced up.

Lord, have mercy on my soul! This man was incredible looking. His short hair was light brown and parted on the side. His blue eyes were striking as they stared down at me.

“Morning, ma’am. I’m Officer Wagner of the Celebration Police Department. Do you happen to know how fast you were going?”

I opened my mouth to speak and found words escaped me as I watched his lips to see if they would continue to move. He had the most incredible lips I had ever seen, and I wondered how they would feel.

He tipped his head to the side and studied me. “Ma’am, are you alright?”

“Casey,” I stuttered out.

“Excuse me?”

“My name is Casey, not ma’am.”

Brandy snickered beside me, and I almost elbowed her.

A smirk raised one side of his mouth and displayed the cutest damned dimple I had ever seen. “Okay, Casey, do you know how fast you were going?”

“Um,” I cleared my throat. Did I tell the truth? Of course I tell the truth! Jesus, I knew what happened with the police when you didn’t. “Sorry, I was going about sixty-five, but I don’t know what the speed limit is.”

“Actually, you were going sixty-nine when you were clocked, and the speed limit is thirty-five.”

I cringed, “I’m so sorry. We woke up late, and I’m rushing my friend to the airport. She has a flight out at eleven. I honestly didn’t know the speed limit.”

“Well, Casey, now you do, and I hope that in the future you will obey it.” He grinned down at me and held out his hand. “I’m Thad, by the way, I believe we’re neighbors.”

I looked at his long elegant fingers as they came my way. Why was my heart beating like it was trying to get out of my chest? I placed my hand into his and we both stared at one another. “Casey,” I said again lamely.

“It’s nice to meet you, Casey. Do me a favor and slow down. Get your friend to the airport safely.”

“Yes, sir,” I stated automatically while I realized I was still holding his hand. I yanked mine back, embarrassed at my reaction to him.

He laughed a deep laugh and put a smile on his face that made his eyes seem brighter than they had been just moments before. “I’m letting you off with a warning today, not because you are my neighbor, but because you did me a favor last night. Thank you for dropping the food off at home for me.”

“You’re welcome, and thank you for not giving me a ticket. I promise I’ll pay better attention.”

“Drive safely, Casey,” he leaned down and peered past me to Brandy, “and have a safe flight.” Thad’s subtle cologne reached my nose with his movement. Thank god I was seated, or my knees might have buckled.

“Thank you,” Brandy replied.

Thad stared at me for another moment before he stood up, “I’ll see you around, Casey. It was nice meeting you, and welcome to Celebration.”

“Thank you.” My voice came out huskier than it should have, and I cleared my throat as he walked away. I used the side mirror to watch him; his back was as nice as his front. When he reached his driver’s-side door, he turned and our gazes locked in the reflection. He winked and climbed into his truck.

“Talk about a hottie,” Brandy said as she fanned her face. I put the window up and checked my mirror again to make sure it was safe to get back onto the road.

I’d learned two things just then: One, Officer Thad Wagner was an extreme hottie; second, he was also a very dangerous man, if only to my starving hormones.

RELEASE BLITZ: A Crystal Snowflake by Holly Barbo

A CRYSTAL SNOWFLAKEQuick Reads Book 7by Holly BarboGENRE:  Thriller Quick Read

When Chayse’s friend is murdered before he can get protective custody, she and her department in Homeland Security are thrust into a race to stop a destructive cyber worm from wiping out all bank and stock market records during the Christmas break.

The good news is there is an inoculating code which will stop the worm. The bad news is it is hidden in a special crystal concealed in the sculpted walls of a beautiful ice hotel in the lapland region of Sweden and the terrorists are searching for it too.

As the snow flurries of November becomes frozen December each side rush to find the crystal…with entirely different goals. Will the Christmas holiday bring destruction for western financial systems?

A Crystal Snowflake is a contemporary thriller. It has been previously published in Tendrils, The Edge of Madness boxed set and Wrapped with a Bow boxed set. It was also entered in a story competition seeking cinematic quality stories for movie potential, and made the quarter finals.

Chapter 1: Fire and Ice

Orion gave a quick scan of the room. He needed to make sure he had everything important. His backpack was stuffed and the computer case held so much that there were edges of paper sticking out of it in a haphazard manner. The slender young man slung the strap of the computer bag over his shoulder, grabbed the backpack, and headed for the front door. His hand paused as he reached for the knob and looked out the window.

It was dark and he could see the snow falling through the street lights. There didn’t seem to be anyone about, so he slipped from the house and walked casually to his trusty old Chevy, his breath coming out in rapid visible puffs. The nonchalance was an act. Orion wanted anyone watching to assume he was going to M.I.T. to get in some late night work. He scanned the shadows, hoping no one was there and threw his backpack on the passenger seat, wedging the computer case between it and the seat back. The young man wanted both within easy reach. Once buckled in, he allowed his nervousness to slip out and thoroughly checked the view from his mirrors.

Orion eased onto the street and when there was no sign of his tires slipping, increased his speed. Orion reached into the pocket of the backpack for the pre-paid phone he’d picked up when he determined his cell had been tapped. At the stop sign he punched in a number. The snow flurries were increasing so he switched on the wipers. Orion waited for his friend to pick up.

The fair-haired man smiled when he heard her voice and responded by saying, “I’m on my way and no one is following me. Just in case, I sent instructions to our safe place. Don’t worry about retrieving the envelope unless I don’t get there by morning. Okay. Gotta go. I’ll be at your door for breakfast with your favorite croissants. Have the coffee brewed.”

Orion laughed at the response. “Okay. I need to concentrate on driving in this stuff. See you soon, Chayse. Bye.”
Beyond the stop sign, the road sloped down to a picturesque country bridge, one of many that dotted the New England states. Orion had to admit it was beautiful in the snowfall, but with the driving conditions worsening, he focused on how the car responded to his small adjustments in steering.

Without any warning, Orion’s power steering quit. Working to compensate on the slick road, he fought to correct the fish-tailing motion of the car. “Shit!” He tapped the brakes and was horrified as his foot went all the way to the floor.

Fighting the wheel and the momentum of the old Chevy on the slippery surface became his entire focus… and he was losing. He tried gearing down and applying the emergency brake, but the car went into a spin. Orion caught a glimpse of the bridge railing coming up too fast. “Shit!” The car broke through the wooden barrier and sailed into the darkness over the side.

***
The watcher stood in the shelter of some trees on the far side of the road. The muffled figure took a box out of his pocket, pointed it at the car and pushed a button. The loud sibilant schwuff of the slush hitting the car’s undercarriage drowned out the pop.

The quiet of the snowy darkness was shattered by sounds of a scream and a crash. The watcher waited to see if anything else would happen. Walking to the broken railing, he looked down into the gorge. The car was lying on the driver’s side and he didn’t detect any movement. Orion could have died on impact. He thought about that for a moment before looking at the box in his hand and pushing a second button. Under the trunk, a small flame ignited close to the cracked fuel line. There was a whoosh as the greedy flames engulfed the Chevy. The watcher turned away and calmly walked back the way he came, disappearing into the night.

RELEASE BLITZ: Pask, Darkly by Hunter S. Jones

PAST, DARKLYby Hunter S. JonesGenre: Folklore, Historical Fantasy Fiction Where do dreams end and reality begin?

Sexy rock star James van Lee and Dr. Maggie Pickett meet in Atlanta, at an encounter unknowingly arranged by Rhett Turnquest and Natasha. This complex story continues, taking it's intriguing cast of characters from the Reconstruction South of 1873 into contemporary 2016. Past, Darkly blends historical fantasy, fairytales, and a dash of Victoriana into an enchanting read. This version includes Story 1 & 2 in The Dreams Series.

Please note: The story from 1873 is written in a southern US dialect used in the late 1800s. For historical accuracy, this book includes exclusive photographs and maps shared by permission of the Library of Congress.

Rhett whispered into the phone, “She wants us both to be there. We are all lifelong friends, Maggie. This is huge for her.”
“For her? Why should I care about what happens to her?” Maggie screamed before she realized what she was saying, a lone tear escaping down her cheek as he broke her heart yet again.
After a pause in which Maggie heard Rhett tap a pen against a tabletop, he said, “Look, Maggie. I meant everything I told you. I love you and I always will. But Natasha and I have a history and she needs me. Please do this. We’ve all three been friends since we were kids.” She heard him breathe deeply and he continued, “Besides, if we aren’t there, she’ll make our lives a living hell. You know how vindictive she is. Just go to the after party. You don’t have to go with us, or even see the show. Simply be there, even if it’s for a few minutes, and let her have her moment of glory.”
Maggie couldn’t breathe. She believed she would pass out. Seeing a bench nearby, she made her way to it and sat on the cold concrete before she said anything. This was all Natasha’s revenge. She knew we were happy and now she wants to gloat. This is her way of proving to me that Rhett is her boyfriend, once and for all. The tears fell down her face, landing on her lap.
“Maggie, Maggie? Are you okay? Please say something,” Rhett whispered in his velvet bass voice.

She wiped the tears away with her left hand. “I’m fine and I’ll be there. When is it?”
She heard the sigh of relief from the other end of the phone. “Mark your calendar for the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The after party starts at 11:00 p.m. in the Grand Salon, which is upstairs, next to the Egyptian Ballroom. I’ll get the pass to you.”
She paused, not really wanting to let him go, yet knowing she had to do it. “That’s great, Rhett. Send it to my email or text it to me. I’ve got to get to my next class.”
The pause on the line let her know that Rhett felt the same as she did. “Thank you, Maggie. This means a lot to me.” She heard his voice tremble as he continued, “I can’t wait to see you.”
“I’ve got to go, Rhett. This call is over.” With that, she clicked the phone, feeling as if her heart would never recover, and knowing her body would never forget the way he felt when they were lying in bed together. No one should ever feel that good. It was more like an addiction and she would never be cured of him. She simply had to endure the absence of him and accept it.
By the next morning, Maggie knew what she had to do. First, she called Salon Vis a Vis and booked a cut and color. By the end of the day, she had a platinum-blonde bob. She knew Natasha would dress in black—it was her trademark, at least when she did wear clothes. Maggie knew from pictures that she now had long black extensions, and Maggie was determined to be the diametrical opposite of her.She called Neiman Marcus and booked an appointment on Sunday with Paul, her favorite stylist. Explaining the event to him and giving him the date she needed everything, he asked, “Do you want me to get some of our latest looks together for you? Something edgy, maybe?”
“No. I want to be a princess."

Will that which you most desire destroy you?

James van Lee is a lonely gypsy boy. His isolation leads him to become the greatest rock star in the world, yet he dreams of a girl he knew long ago.

Dr. Maggie Pickett of Emory University has never loved anyone but Rhett Turnquest, but he is under the spell of Natasha, who has secrets no one will ever know.

Lovers & Sinners introduces a world of stardom and those who seek it, as well those who wish only to be loved. The story intrigues with its open sexuality, international locales, and a mysterious link to Russia’s cursed royal family with secret ties to the love affair of Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII.

Based loosely on fairy tales and legends, the journey begins in The Dreams, Story 1.

PRE-RELEASE TOUR: Dealing with the Viscount by Clari Brett

DEALING WITH THE VISCOUNTImproper Wives for Proper Lords (Book 1)by Clair BrettGenre: Regency Historical Romance
Does she dare gamble on the one man who wants her to go all in, or risk losing her most important hand yet?

After making a wager of marriage to settle her father’s gambling debts, Ella Bowen-Thorn Renwick escaped the husband she foolishly began to fall for and disappeared into the Scottish countryside carrying a secret. Four years later, and the owner of her own bakery, she is still not free of the demands of men when a violent and anonymous blackmailer threatens her, her livelihood… and her daughter. And then, there is him…

Viscount Renwick still mourns the wife he began to love before her untimely death-- that is, until he discovers her alive and well living in Scotland. Now, Devon’s face to face with the wife he thought he’d buried and the daughter he never knew existed. He’d like nothing more than to welcome Ella back into his arms, but mysterious and troubling incidents and a history with an unloving father have Ella trusting no one.

Now he’ll do anything, even make a wager he isn’t sure he can win, to reclaim what he lost.

But, if Renwick convinces his wife he’s the husband she always dreamed of and the father their daughter deserves, will the scandalous secret the blackmailer is holding threaten their future together once more?

When he was finished he stood, swept her up into his arms and sat in the rocking chair with her in his lap. She only wiggled her complaint for a moment, then seemed to think better of it and rested her head on his shoulder. He drew his arms around her and just basked in the feel of her warmth, her life. Until a month ago, he thought this an impossibility. He refused to lose it again. Once in a lifetime was all a man could take.

In that instant, he understood his father. He knew why the man had never divorced and remarried. He loved her and the thought of losing another love was too much to bare. It made sense now. With Ella in his arms, her soft breaths warming his ear, everything in the universe made sense. Unwilling to let her go, he gave himself a few more minutes before Ella broke free to leave a note for Penny about what happened, then they made their way outside to his mount and made for the manor. He would be returning early and would explain things to Penny then.

PROMO TOUR: King Arthur's Sister in Washington's Court by Mark Twain as channeled by Kim Iverson Headlee

KING ARTHUR'S SISTER IN WASHINGTON'S COURTby Mark Twain as channeled by Kim Iverson HeadleeI am Morgan, Queen of Gore since the dawn of the 6th century. Title me “the Wise” if you wish to, as is so quaintly worded in your century, suck up. Title me “le Fay” to my face, and we shall see what your chroniclers write about you.Furious over being denied vengeance upon my hated brother King Arthur and even more furious that the uncouth Hank Morgan destroyed my world, I cast the mightiest enchantment of my entire magical career: I assayed to travel forward in time to the year 1879, to the village of Hartford in the district of Connecticut in the realm of America, for to prevent the Yankee from traveling back in time. My spell misfired by 300 miles and 200 years, landing me in Washington, DC of 2079. And I had no idea under heaven how to correct the error.I am, however, a creative woman. I forged a new kingdom as owner of the London Knights world-class baseball franchise. I cultivated new allies, made new enemies... and I fell for a man who could have been my dead lover's twin. Even so, I would pay any price to return to my rightful era.It is a dream I have. EbookNovember 2014 just shy of Mark Twain's 179th birthdayHardcover and PaperbackNovember 2015 just shy of Mark Twain's 180th birthdayAudiobookApril 21, 2016 the 106th anniversary of Mark Twain's death SATURDAY NOON, THE day of Game Four, I shared luncheon with Ambrose, sans paramour. She had been such a fixture up till now that her absence piqued my curiosity.“How fares your fair Lily?”I had not thought such an innocuous query would have touched a nerve, but his brow darkened like a thunderhead. “Resting,” he grumbled. “For the remainder of the day…and night.”Of a sudden I understood. Mistress Lily had grown so weary of Ambrose’s baseball sessions with me that the benefits of his company could no longer compensate. I smiled, for this was welcome news, and said:“Then I pray she enjoys a pleasant rest. As for you and me, I propose that we make our game doubly interesting by doubling the stakes.”He laughed heartily and long. When at last he could catch a breath, he said, “You do realize you owe me millions, don’t you?”“My collateral is my team. If you win, the Knights are yours.”“Or you win double what I’ve won from you.” He stroked his clean-shaven chin and gave me a hard stare with those cold gray eyes of his. “Something tells me I should cash in my chips and walk away now, while I can.”“And yet the gamesman in you will not, for who can walk away from the chance to own a world-class ball club?”By the cant of his eyebrows, I knew I had scored a hit even before he grinned and said, “It’s on!” Please tells us a little bit about the main characters of your book: ALL CALL ME Queen. For my unparalleled skills in leechcraft, most call me “The Wise.” No man dares call me “le Fay,” lest he die. I hight Morgan. That is to say, my name is Morgan, so chosen by my mother, Duchess Igraine, to honor the Great Queen of the Old Religion, Mór Rigan, goddess of war. My mother never knew how prophetic her choice would prove to be. I am the daughter of Duke Gorlois, the sister of Queen Margawse and Queen Elaine, the wife of King Uriens of Gore, and the mother of Sir Uwaine of the Table Round. Blessed good fortune made me all of these things. By the capricious hand of ill fortune, King Arthur became my younger half brother, spawned upon my most virtuous and blameless mother by that demon in man’s raiment, Uther Pendragon. I am the only personage, kind reader, with whose biographical information you should concern yourself. What? You wish to learn more about some of the other minions—that is to say, individuals with whom I crossed paths during my sojourn in your century? Fine. Being The Wise does not always make me The Magnanimous, but you caught me in an agreeable mood today, and so I shall make an exception for you. The first person (of any consequence) I met after my time-travel spell went awry by 300 miles and 200 years was Clarice Centralia, a bright and talented young woman whom it pleased me to later name as my assistant in all matters political and magical. Clarice introduced me to the woman who would become my greatest ally in this era to which I did not belong, American President Malory Beckham Hinton, and President Malory’s husband, ex-Senator Ambrose Josiah Hinton. The less that is said about Ambrose, the better; I shall leave you to discover how he and I danced. Clarice also introduced me to the magnificent man who would become the love of my life—two lives, if you account for my shift in time—Alexander “Sandy” Leroy Carter. Sandy could have been the twin of my sixth-century lover, Sir Accolon, but he proved to be ever so much more, in ever so many ways. A renowned expert in all matters baseball, and a world-class player himself once upon a time, Sandy hired on as general manager of my team, the London Knights. In the course of helping me forge a team worthy to take on the formidable American juggernaut, the Connecticut Yankees, he not only taught me about baseball, but he taught me to look into my own heart. Our association was not all wine and roses, and I leave those details for you to discover too, but I must state unequivocally that Sandy Carter was, is, and ever shall be my Once and Future Love. RELEASE TOUR: Damage by Casey Clipper

DAMAGEBook 2 of The Men of Law seriesby Casey ClipperGenre: Contemporary Romantic Suspense
Detective Dean Rooney has seen his fair share of tragedy, including in his own life. His days and nights are haunted by the nightmare that forever changed his world. He has nothing but his job and his LEO buddies, and even they can’t comprehend the deep hole that eats away at his soul. But one case throws his daily survival into a tizzy. One case that drums up feelings he never expected to experience again. One case that he needs to solve quickly, before tragedy strikes again.

Josie Conley has no idea who tried to kill her. She has no enemies, is a successful business owner, and works hard to give herself a good life. While trying to deal with the reality that someone wants her dead, she doesn’t have time to fall in love with a handsome detective. But fate doesn’t take into consideration what a person wants.

Can Josie and Dean find peace with each other? Can Dean find the person who tried to kill Josie before they strike again? Or will a sinister plot damage destiny’s plot of a second chance at life?

Detective Dean Rooney held the bloody palm of the unconscious raven-haired woman.

“Stay with me,” he whispered, his voice cracking. A vivid memory threatened to invade him. He slammed the door shut. Now was not the time for that nightmare to present itself.

He glared up at the EMTs, who were taking far too long to work on the woman whose life hung by a thread. Her skin was losing its pink hue, her warmth leaving her hand.

“When are you getting her on the road?” he snapped.

A young man glanced up from the wide knife wound in the woman’s stomach he was trying to pack, to stop the loss of anymore blood. Another man’s eyes slid up from the blood pressure cuff he was using. “Her pressure is too low. We need to get her to the hospital.”

“I’m almost finished,” the first paramedic said, laser focused on his task.

Dean hadn’t expected to come upon the victim when he’d been called away from his best friend’s wedding. His crisp white button down Oxford now soaked in her blood.

“Two minutes max,” the second man said, placing a stethoscope against her chest. “Her heart rate is slowing.”

The first EMT finished placing the packing gauze inside the wound, stood and tossed his bag to the driver, who rushed out to the vehicle. Another paramedic lowered the waiting gurney, ready to transfer her from the blood soaked floor.

Dean brushed the victim’s hair back, away from her face. The pain she must be suffering lanced him.

Suddenly the woman’s eyes flipped open, a choked gasp burbling up from her throat.

Dean leaned over so she would see only him. Jade eyes, lined with dark lashes, filled with fear gazed back at him.

“You’re going to be okay,” he said, unsure of the words. She was in dire shape. Too much blood for one person to lose painted the scene like a horror movie. Blood on the walls, the sofa, the coffee table, drenched into the beige carpet, and covering the victim said her attacker meant to kill her, not just maim. He needed to know who did this to her. Could she give him the name of the person from her death bed? He had to try. “Do you know who hurt you?”

Her lids blinked closed slowly. He was losing her.

“Get her to the hospital!” His own blood boiled with anger at the seemingly lack of urgency around him. Did they not understand the critical condition of the victim? A woman laid on the floor of her living room, dying in his grasp. He’d been first-hand witness to this before, except a few minutes too late. He did not want to go through this again.

Her eyes came open, the green rapidly fading. A slow hiss came from her dried lips.

“Josie,” he said, gripping her hand tighter. “You need to stay strong. You need to stay alive. Stay alive for me, Josie. Fight for me.”

A tear rolled out the side of her eye, her shaky hand lifting, touching his face. Her limb dropped to the floor, her eyes closing, giving into the pain.

Jasonʼs endless hours working on this case are taking a toll. He has no life outside of his job. His nights are spent alone in a cold bed with dreams of a faceless bandit haunting him. Yes, their suspect is a woman bent on toying with law enforcement.

Hannah Lakely is doing whatever it takes to survive. After escaping from the men who her parents owe money, she vows never to be put in a vulnerable position to be injured again. Those men favor breaking bones, specifically hers. Hannah does what is necessary for a woman with no high school diploma, no college education, no skill set, and in need of a large sum of money immediately to pay off her parentsʼ loan. A world of crime is an empty life with no one to count on except for her only friend, who is also her conspirator. Sheʼs alone in the world, always looking over her shoulder for the mob or law enforcement, afraid of the day that either catches up with her.

Jasonʼs life of non-committed relationships is one that leaves him lonely at times, but he accepts that drawback after watching two of his LEO brothers go through hell in their marriages. Why does he need that hassle? Itʼs difficult enough to find a good woman, let alone one who can tolerate being in a relationship with a detective. A law enforcement career can test even the best of couples. But Jasonʼs world is turned upside down when he literally runs into a red-haired spitfire. Her fiery attitude amuses him. Smitten with the entrancing woman, he decides to pursue.

Hannah canʼt believe that sheʼs attracted the attention of law enforcement in a different manner than she ever expected. She knows she shouldnʼt entertain the officerʼs blatant attraction, but Jason wonʼt take no for an answer. When she relents, deciding to cave to the determined detective, she certainly never expects to connect to him on a physical and emotional level.

Jasonʼs personal life is settling into place. Hannahʼs world is crumbling around her as she finds herself falling for a man who could put her in jail for a very long time, if he finds out her secret. Jason admits he may be more than just entranced with this gorgeous woman. Hannahʼs desperate and attempts to walk away from the life sheʼs led, until the mob catches up to her. Again.

What happens when Hannah tries to rid herself of the men who threaten her life by heisting the most secure jewelry store sheʼs ever attempted? What happens to the couple if Jason and his unit figure out who their thief really is? What happens when Jason questions everything he thought he knew, including his career? And what happens when Hannahʼs life is put in danger because of decisions made by Jason and his team?

PRE=RELEASE TOUR: All Jazzed Up by Tracy Ellen

ALL JAZZED UPBook One: Love, Lies, & Ninja Missionsby Tracy EllenGenre: contemporary romance
A pretend marriage. A real desire. Being friends with no benefits has never been hotter! Jazy Axelrod’s in love with the hunky man-whore Max Byrd, who also happens to be her best guyfriend! Even worse, Jazy soon gets Max isn't into her that way. But Max has problems, too. A woman is trying to trap him into marriage. Max begs for Jazy's help. Jazy decides to give Max more than he ever bargained for. Can Jazy seduce the cynical player in just a few short weeks to believe in her, and happily-ever-after? Or does Jazy learn real love needs no convincing? A stand-alone HEA romance.

With his black good looks oozing animalistic charisma and his strong, muscular body, Max is the sort of large man who instantly makes a girl feel femininely sexy and protected, yet turned on at the same time by his aura of underlying power.

As a member of the female species, I’m rather disillusioned by how easily women fall for Max. They’re always miscasting him in the hero role, as well. However, girls seem to love their heroes, and like any intelligent man, Max loves giving women what they want to eventually get what he wants.

Sure Max is big and strong and would never mistreat a woman, but at his core, he isn’t hero material. Max is an aggressive, tough man with a huge appetite for all things in life.

Besides, I’ve always thought being protected by Max would be akin to having the Big Bad Wolf as your bodyguard. Only imagine thinking a man’s tame, yet deep down, you suspect he could eat you at any time.

Oh, man. I pressed my thighs together at this latest tingle, and I couldn’t blame my cursing or the cold wind for my shivery goose bumps. It was totally the fault of the hot idea of rolling around and wrestling with a powerful, untamed wolf man.
