Dick Peterson spent his first 42 years in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 1992, employment moved him to the Kansas suburbs of KCMO. He now describes himself as a Kansan by residence, a Missourian by retirement, a Louisianan by birth, Southern by the grace of God, and a Tybee Islander at heart.

No longer hiding out in a bank on weekdays, you can often find him hanging at coffeehouses using their eclectic patrons as models for characters in one suspenseful chapter after another. There's also plenty of time for reading, bicycling, golfing, keeping tabs on a lifetime collection of friends through Facebook, enjoying Words with Friends, and hanging out with his wife, Suzie, with whom a few games of Shut the Box is an after meal ritual. It has been a long wait since the gift that The Devil's Punchbowl was to Greg Iles’ readers, almost five years. What a thrill it was to get sucked into Penn Cage's Natchez once again. The Death Factory was a nice appetizer for the main course, Natche ...more
Dick Peterson is 20% done with The Death Factory: This e-novella from the man from Natchez is but an appetizer preceding the 29-Apr release of Natchez Burning, the 800-page first novel in a trilogy of new Penn Cage novels. It has been nearly five years since Iles last dropped a book. My eyes sighed with pleasure to get reacquainted with Greg's words.

M.T. Albright Hello Dick,
Thanks for the friend invite, and for the book suggestion. I'm interested in reading your book as well... (I like the context - the coffee shop - in which it was written.) I once took a greyhound to Kansas City and stayed long enough for a party. Great town.

Tracey Garvis-Graves Hi Dick,

Thank you for your friendship request and book recommendations. The Watchers by Dean Koontz is one of my very favorite books! I also love Stephen King and Pat Conroy. Your recommendations were very spot-on for me!

Best,

Tracey

Helen Hanson Hi Dick,

I appreciate the friending and the link. Select has been a real boon to some writers. Amazon announced the Select program just after I released a novel in November, but I may try it with my next novel. Thanks for the kind words about my blog. All the best to you!

Helen
