I think I would go to Tudor London (as long as I was immune to all the diseases then prevalent!)

It would be fascinating to observe Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, and the rest of his courtiers, as I have written about his early kingship, so it would be great if I could find if I'd got it right.(less)

A Thrust to the Vitals #10 Rafferty & Llewellyn cozy procedural series (Mystery & Thrillers)
1 chapters   —   updated May 13, 2015 06:35PM
Description: ‘Solid, straightforward detection mingled with family mayhem.’ KIRKUS REVIEWS ON A THRUST TO THE VITALS Returning to Elmhurst many years after his involuntary departure, to attend a civic reception in his honour, Sir Rufus Seward had ignored the maxim that 'going back' is not always wise. Summoned after Seward's body is found, a wood chisel protruding from its back, Dl Joe Rafferty receives a panicky call from his younger brother, Mickey, who fears he is in the frame for Seward's murder. Strangely, given his loathing of the dead man, Mickey had received an invitation to the reception. Keen to confront the bully who made his youth a misery, Mickey found his tormentor's body, and fled the scene... Rafferty, aware that his brother hated Seward, and that Mickey, a carpenter by trade, has three pointers to guilt - the means, the motive and the opportunity - finds himself torn between protecting his family and finding the real killer 'Wonderful series. Fantastic books. I highly recommend them. They have terrific characters and interesting plots.' Gail Farrelly, Author

Deadly Reunion (Mystery & Thrillers)
1 chapters   —   updated May 13, 2015 06:31PM
Description: REVIEW OF DEADLY REUNION BY BOOKLIST ‘DI Joseph Rafferty and Sergeant Dafyd Llewellyn have a new case that takes them to prestigious Griffin School, where an alumnus has been found dead at a class reunion. The victim is a well-known athlete, and his classmates, all suspects, include a Home Office official. As the detectives work to solve the crime, they must deal with their budget-obsessed superintendent and with Rafferty’s mother, who is planning a big family reunion. This well-constructed procedural effectively blends humorous details of Rafferty’s family life into an engaging case in a solid series appealing to both procedural and cozy fans.’ BOOKLIST ON DEADLY REUNION

Geraldine Evans I know I've contradicted myself, but I have so many favourite authors, that it hardly seemed fair not to take the opportunity of mentioning a few more!
