Sometimes I go great lengths of time...days, weeks, etc...without putting thought to paper. Most of the time it's just scribbles and scribbles and more scribbling until a sentence forms. Then eventually a paragraph. And so on. I can't say that I have any way to deal with the "block". I write when it comes to me, which is usually when I don't have a fucking pencil handy. (less)

Poetic Queefs and Other Lyrical Jargon (Poetry)
6 chapters   —   updated May 13, 2015 06:35PM
Description: An assortment of random poetry, papers, essays, and songs written a looooong long time ago, that more or less finds its way in some form or another in my books...these are those works in their raw form. Some chapters may have appeared in other forms such as blogs written on Goodreads or other websites, but have been placed here as a form of further preservation.

“I've always felt that distant train whistles heard in the dead of night are the universe's way of letting us know the best days are neither ahead nor behind us...they're happening right now, cradled in the palms of our hands. But that doesn't change the fact that the whiskey, weed, and romance eventually runs out and the night will soon turn to day.”
Dave Matthes, Sleepeth Not, the Bastard

“That's the beautiful thing about innocence; even monsters have a pocketful of childhood memories with which to seek comfort with.”
Dave Matthes, Sleepeth Not, the Bastard
