COVER REVEAL…. HER CLIENT FROM HELL

I’m so excited about my April #KISS release, Her Client From Hell!

Readers of my debut #KISS book, Backstage With Her Ex will have met heroine, Sasha’s sister- Cassie. Cassie is a scatty, loud mouthed, act first kind of girl- and Her Client From Hell is her story. It was such fun to write and hero, Jack Brennan, is the opposite to Cassie in so many ways no-one would have thought that love could blossom!

Here’s the official blurb:

Her customer satisfaction guarantee…!

Cassie Sweet has a new mantra in her life—failure is not an option! Her good-for-nothing ex might have run off with all her money, but she’s determined to make her new catering business a success. So no distractions. Nothing. Nada. Zero. Which means her infuriatingly rude—and exasperatingly handsome!—new client, filmmaker Jack Brennan, is definitely off the menu…

After all, while the customer might always be right, Jack’s clearly every shade of wrong! So when his clothes end up on her bedroom floor why do they look so right? And the biggest question of all: is this a recipe for disaster—or the best mistake of her life…?

And here for the very first time is the cover……. So pretty! What do you think?

New Month New Release!

BackstageVery exciting because today is the release date of Backstage With Her Ex!

This is the story of rockstar bad boy Nate Munro and his ex girlfriend Sasha Sweet- set in London and Italy it was heaps of fun to write and has so far received great reviews such as this one from Chick Lit Aficianado

Here’s the blurb: Her ex… the VIP!

Hiding out in the gents’ toilets backstage is not the way Sasha imagined bumping into her significant ex. Especially when that ex is notoriously damaged, famously wild rock god Nate Munro! She has a massive favor to ask him, but one glimpse of his sinfully dark eyes and all she can think about is that he’s seen her naked!

Nate’s used to women doing anything to get his attention, but he never pictured bubbly schoolteacher Sasha as the groupie type – she’s far too sweet! But when the paparazzi get a hint of their reunion, it’s scandal all the way. Now the question on everyone’s lips is this: In this showdown between the girl next door and rock and roll royalty, who’s going to come out on top?

I’ve also just discovered that on harlequin website this book is on special offer at a very reasonable $1.59 US – not sure when this offer is going to end, so if you’d like to try the new Harlequin KISS line in general or one of my books in particular, now seems like a good time!

Thanks!

A tale of two authors…

A few years ago I decided I was going to write a book. A romance no less. I also decided that the best way to learn how to write a book would be to attend a conference about romance writing. So I did. the Romance Writers of New Zealand and the Romance Writers of Australia hold conferences every August- so I popped along to one, then another…by the time I went to my third I was getting a bit more knowledgable about this writing lark- knowledgeable, not necessarily good. And I was meeting plenty of like-minded people from all over Australasia. One of these people was Sue MacKay who is adorable and happened, like me, to be targeting the Mills and Boon medical line.

Wouldn’t it be a good idea, we thought- if we swapped bits of work and shared our thoughts. Critiquing, suggesting, constructive criticism, call it what you like, just to see if we had any ideas on improving things and increasing our chances at success… so we began to email chapters and discuss craft.

Then one day Sue got The Call!  (I’d always known she was far far better at this than I was…)- we were thrilled! It was so very exciting to see all her hard work pay off- and to finally get the dream publishing contract!! And so we continued to share bits of work and brainstorm and critique.  And then, about a year or so later I got The Call too!  It was an amazing journey for both of us from unpublished to published- and we often referred to ourselves as partners in crime.

None more so than when our editors asked us if we would be interested in writing a medical duet! That meant that we were going to write connected stories to be sold in a 2-in-1 book- our stories. Together. It felt, for me, like a culmination of everything we’d been through together. A celebration of our work.

And here it is, finally. Three years after Sue got The Call and two years after mine.Heartbreaker 2in1 UK

The Infamous Maitland Brothers. Doctors, Brothers…Rivals! Can finding the right women reunite them?

Here’s the back cover blurb:

The Gift of a Child by Sue MacKay:

Jodi will do anything to save her desperately ill toddler. Including asking the man she loved and had to walk away from- her son’s father, Dr Mitchell Maitland- for help. Mitchell never thought he would see his beautiful Jodi again, or learn that he’s a daddy! Now Mitchell has a chance to prove he’s the man Jodi and Jamie deserve…

How to Resist a Heartbreaker by Louisa George (that’s me!!)

Nurse Gabby Radley knows exactly who sexy Max Maitland is- hot-shot surgeon with no strings attached. So attempting to balance a fling, working together and Gabby’s runaway past equals a relationship with a seriously complicated health warning! Giving in to their sizzling chemistry is one thing, but trusting him with her heart is a different story…

Available now from : http://www.millsandboon.co.uk/books/medical/the-gift-of-a-child—how-to-resist-a-heartbreaker.htm

And available from July 5th at all ebook sellers and most booksellers in UK, US, Australia and NZ. And I’m thrilled and proud to have such a wonderful friend and writer to share this with.

Look out for giveaways of this duet…coming soon……

Bigger than BIG news!

So I have a sekrit to share. Come closer….

The Harlequin KISS line have just acquired one of my books!  Backstage With Her Ex will be available in October 2013- on the shelves in US! It will also be on digital release, so all you fang-dangled techno readers out there will also be able to get a copy! It’s a romance between a rock-star and a music teacher featuring a Glee-style choir, a lot of lists and a good bit of sizzle. It was a hoot to write and I fell hopelessly in love with Nate Munro my bad-boy hero. As soon as I have back cover blurb I’ll share, I promise.

I’m so excited about this project as it’s a departure from my usual medical line books. If you don’t know already Harlequin KISS is a new line recently launched by Harlequin- it’s about savvy, contemporary urban women finding their match and fashioning their own happy ever afters. It’s a fabulous line with amazingly talented authors like Heidi Rice, Nicola Marsh, Nikki Logan, Amy Andrews, Kimberley Lang, Trish Wylie and Liz Fielding…oh, and now me.

Now I need a picture to illustrate how I feel….HMMMM… fireworks?….

My first US release!

Thinks are pretty happy here in the George household. I have my first US release! My three previous books have been UK, Australia and NZ only (with foreign translations variably to french and Italian)- but this is the first time my book has been available in America!

I’m so excited!

The Last Doctor She Should Ever Date has the following blurb:

A mistake waiting to happen?

It’s been four years since infamous party girl delectable Daniella Danatello brought her powerful family the wrong sort of publicity!  Dani’s desperate to get back in their good books, and accepts a job as physiotherapist on her father’s rugby team.

There’s just one thing-one man-standing in the way of earning back her self-respect: the team doctor, Zac Price. With killer abs and infuriatingly sexy arrogance, Zac is one massive distraction-and now she’s his colleague any involvement with him would break all the rules. Dani’s determined to keep away…but Zac’s just too tempting to ignore…

This is something different for a medical romance- the sizzle and the tension are still there, there’s still medical detail- but it’s an unconventional setting….a sports tournament. I wanted to explore an unusual part of the medical profession, one that isn’t seen or talked about much, but one that keeps all those well honed athletes at the top of their game. But don’t worry if you don’t like sport- there’s not a lot of it in the book!

Here’s the US cover:

The Last Doctor She Should Ever Date Giveaway

My fourth book, The Last Doctor She Should Ever Date, is now on pre-release at mills and boon website. I’m so excited!

Last Dr US version

Last Dr US version

This book is about a damaged and publicity shy It girl, Daniella Donatello and devilishly handsome and commitment-shy sports doctor Zac Price. Based around a sports tournament this book was a departure from my usual GP/hospital set dramas as we’re taken around scenic New Zealand with a rugby team and a sex ban that tests the willpower of our trying-to-ignore-the-sizzle couple!

Last Dr Australia/NZ

Last Dr Australia/NZ

Not a sports fan? Don’t worry. The balance between sport and romance falls very heavily on the side of romance. But there are a few interesting insights into how a sports team handles the pressures of a very public tournament. But Dani and Zac and their burgeoning romance very definitely steal the show.

Here are my three covers…I LOVE the US and UK hero- yummy! The Aussie/NZ  one made me laugh because Dani looks ever so much like Zara Phillips (real life Princess) who married a rugby star…wonder if someone in marketing was having a little laugh to themselves?

I’d love you let me know your thoughts- do you enjoy sports in romance? Do you ever read medical romance? If so, what do you think? If not- would you like to try? I’ll give a book away to one commenter.
