Dear Mrs. Cushman,
I've never forgotten hatching chicken eggs under heat lamps in the corner of our kindergarten room, right next to the easels. Jaima
Jaima is 69% done with Les Misérables: After a prison break and a essay about slang we return again to Marius and Cossette. Really wishing I was watching the musical here--one sweet song through a fence is sufficiently lovely. Instead, I'm drowning in words that rhapsodize their chaste stupidity (amid all the gazing and breathing and nauseating eloquence Marius 'forgets' to mention that he witnessed her father's kidnapping and escape from Thenardier).

“Sometimes the memories seemed too much and I couldn't understand how I'd stayed so calm when these things actually happened, but lost my breath in the shadowy remembrances.”
Regina Sirois, On Little Wings

“Sometimes you wait for the right time and you run out of time altogether.”
Regina Sirois, On Little Wings

“I knew it wouldn't last, that the reality would come snaking back in, but for a moment I saw it, the futility of trying to mold love into an expected shape. The foolishness of whining when it didn't fit.”
