Originally, PEACE FORCE was supposed to be about Harriet Walsh's adventures AFTER she met Hal, but I found I had no interest in that story. Instead, I went back to her origins and wrote about her first couple of days in the Peace Force.(less)

“He noticed Sandys wide-eyed expression as she took in the flight deck, but there was no time to explain what all the controls were for. That, plus he didn't know what ask the controls were for. 'what are ask these controls for?' asked Sandy.
'no time to explain' said Hal quickly.”

“Freighter pilot Hal Spacejock has a life to die for: His very own cargo ship, a witty and intelligent flight computer ... and a debt so big it makes the GFC look like a rounding error. Hal's an upright sort of guy, and he won't take jobs from gun runners, drug smugglers or politicians. On the other hand, the finance company's brutal enforcer is on his doorstep, and Hal has barely twenty-four hours to pay him off. Miss the deadline and he - and his ship - will go under. Way, way, under.”
Simon Haynes, Hal Spacejock

message 3: by Simon

Simon I'm writing and releasing Hal 7 in ten installments, and parts 1-5 (the first half of the book) are already available on Amazon and Kobo.

When part ten is published I'll release the entire thing as a single novel, as per Hal Spacejock 1-6.

Christine Hi Simmon, stopped by to see what's new on your page. Have a great week.
