There once was a monkey...
...named Spunky
Who was always referred to as chunky.
So he went on a diet,
He shouldn't have tried it.
He became anorexic and died.
There was a fat turkey named Sam,
Who gobbled whenever he ran.
He came out of the bush,
Presenting his tush,
And was shot up the arse by a man.
There was a young maid from Madras
Who had a magnificent ass;
Not rounded and pink,
As you probably think.
It was grey, had long ears, and ate grass.
Yep, I have a think for limericks! Anyone want to share their favorite? :)

OMG My edits are done. I hope. *crossing fingers* I really hope! I've been busy getting ready for release day, which is coming up quickly!

What I did on my Summer Vacation... by Chloe Jacobs
Remember having to write those essays every September for class? I hated them because my summer was always boring as hell.
I had to babysit my brother and sister, and we never went anywhere except the odd camping trip, and the teacher didn't seem to want me to write a book report instead, but that's what I was doing. Reading.
It wasn't a bad thing...far from it. I had more summer adventures through books than I ever would have otherwise
But there was that time we drove all the way across Canada. We stopped at so many cool places, including these towns with funny names: SexSmith, Alberta; and Climax, Saskatchewan! (I've also heard of Dildo and Come-by-Chance -- both in Newfoundland of course!) Haha

Big Bang Theory
So I've been watching this show, and OMG it's hilarious. Sheldon is frickin' awesome! I could fill a whole book with Sheldon quotes :)
Sheldon: "Last night, I was strong-armed into an evening of harp music and spooning with an emotional Amy Farrah Fowler. This on a night that I had originally designated for solving the space-time geometry in higher-spin gravity and building my Lego Death Star."
Sheldon: "Scissors cuts paper, paper covers rock, rock crushes lizard, lizard poisons Spock, Spock smashes scissors, scissors decapitates lizard, lizard eats paper, paper disproves Spock, Spock vaporizes rock, and as it always has, rock crushes scissors."
Sheldon: "Why are you crying?"
Penny: "Because I'm stupid!
Sheldon: That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."
Sheldon: "I wouldn't tell you the secret. (pause) Shhhhh!!"
Leonard: "What secret? Tell me the secret."
Sheldon: "Mom smokes in the car. Jesus is okay with it, but we can't tell dad."
Leonard: "Not that secret, the other secret."
Sheldon: I'M BATMAN!!!! SHHHH!!!
Zack: "You know, I saw this great thing on the Discovery Channel. Turns out if you kill a starfish it'll just come back to life."
Sheldon: "Was the starfish wearing boxer shorts? Because you might have been watching Nickelodeon."
Sheldon: "Ah, gravity - thou art a heartless bitch."

Finished!
I finished writing a book!
It feels great, and I'm going to celebrate by going shopping tomorrow and staying up late to watch a movie. I'm going to hang out all weekend at the beach with my brother, and not worry about writing anything until at least ... Monday.

Brave *beware spoilers*
I saw this movie tonight. It wasn't what I was expecting from a "Disney Princess" movie.
I think I've been conditioned to expect certain things from these movies, but there was no handsome prince, and no romance. There was no evil queen to fight.
It was just about a girl who needs to do some growing up, and a mother who needs to let her daughter be young for a while longer. Even the "danger" isn't true evil, but a misunderstood soul needing some help to find his way home.
It was refreshing, actually that the plot didn't have to rely on a love interest to interest movie-goers.
I think I've been conditioned to expect certain things from these movies, but there was no handsome prince, and no romance. There was no evil queen to fight.
