Thanks for the question, Linda.

I am thinking of writing a followup to The Girl in the City, yes. It's tentatively titled The Girl in the Wilderness and follows on directly from the end of the first book.

I don't know when I'm going to write it yet but a lot of people seem to want to read more about Leah so I'm sure I'll revisit that world soon.

I was letting my mind wander one day and the image of a husband watching a count of nanobots in his injured wife came to me. It seemed like a very interesting idea but it wasn't a story. I needed to know why she was being healed by nanobots.

Without going into spoiler territory I quickly came up with how she'd been hurt. From there it was a case of finding an interesting why. I pictured the couple as explorers on Mars and then the rest kind of rolled out from there as I was outlining the story.

That initial image was the anchor though and I'm pleased with how it came out.(less)

Bibliography Update

I realised a little while ago that the bibliography page here was a) missing from the menu and b) horribly out of date.

I’ve fixed both of those issues now so if you want to find some of my short fiction, quite a bit of which is free, you can find a full list right here.
