Protecting Rose - Mustang Contest

Win a Copy of PROTECTING ROSE! 2012 Finalist-Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence
It's all in the name.
My husband's (Patrick) classic '65 Mustang (yes, the one I mention in, Protecting Rose) needs a name. He's owned this car since he was 18 and restored both the body and engine over the years.  He is quite the gear-head.

We are looking for something that makes you visualize....wild stallions, open ranges, freedom, sleek, beautiful and fast.
Trying to keep it in the Mustang theme.

It will actually...

Pleast Give a Warm Welcome to Susan Muller

As an author, I hope my words have some entertainment value, but occasionally they can teach a lesson. Here are three things you might learn from reading The Secrets on Forest Bend.
When a woman asks you out, be careful. She probably wants something from you.
Adam Campbell has been a homicide detective for several years now. When gun store owner Jillian Whitmeyer invites him over for dinner, he isn't sure if this is a date or a thank you. Is he on duty or off?
It certainly isn't the first time a...

Angela Beebe stared unseeingly into the closet and worried her bottom lip. It had been over a year since Scott's murder. Why did Detective Bauman want to meet with her again, he already had her testimony? There was nothing more to say. She flipped...

Pleast Give a Warm Welcome to Donna Shields.

Welcome to Cheryl's place!  I'm thrilled to have you here.

Please tell us a little about yourself. It's so great being here Cheryl. Thanks for having me. I'm a mom of six and a Gramma of two. I live in the beautiful Upstate, South Carolina. I'm a pretty busy gal with my writing, a full time normal paying job (Warehouse Receiver), I co-own a motorcycle repair shop with my husband, and we're working on opening another business-an auction site.

That's cool.  I have...

Horny Hump Day

I had such fun last week, I decided to post another short sensual scene from, Protecting Rose .

Enjoy!

Nate paused at her waist to place soft butterfly kisses across her belly. Her breath caught when he lifted his head to look into her eyes and, with a slow grin, slid her panties down her legs and off her body, tossing them on the floor along with their other clothes. She shivered in anticipation when he lowered his head and continued his sensual assault down to the very heart of her.

Hop on...

Welcome to Horny Hump Day!

A fellow author has started something fun for middle of the week boredom.

I'm posting a short sensual scene from, Protecting Rose in honor of Horny Hump Day!

Rose closed her eyes and a moan of pure pleasure passed her lips as Nate gently kneaded her breasts. With an "oh, baby," he removed the barrier of her bra. His tongue eagerly stroked a taut nipple before sucking it into his warm, hungry mouth.

My New Years Eve Celebration

2011 was an eventful year, full of excitement as well as sorrows.  My novel, Protecting Rose, was published with Soul Mate Publishing and also a finalist in the 2011 Launching a Star contest.  I haven't been this excited about something since my wedding day.
I also said goodbye to some very dear friends and relatives in 2011, and I'm still mourning their passing. So, 2011 was a mixed bag.

But, that's life. We just press on and try to make the best use of every wonderful moments that life...

2011 is almost over

Hard to believe.  Where did the time go?
But, oh, what a difference a year makes. When my husband, Patrick, bought me a Kindle a few years back little did I know that it would change my life, rediscovering my love of reading.  After two years of marathon reading, I finally came up for air and was struck with an epiphany.  I wanted to write a romance novel and determinedly set out to learn the craft.  I signed up for some online classes and buried myself in library books and started my...
