Heidi W. Boehringer grew up in a rural setting outside of Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of Florida, which she attended on an honors scholarship and studied creative writing with Harry Crews.

She has had essays published in The Tropic of The Miami Herald, has appeared on TV and has been a speaker at conferences.

Chasing Jordan is her first novel. She lives in South Florida with her three dogs and two cats.
