I am moving away from Sci-Fi and introducing you to my upcoming sexy steampunk Christmas novella DAF. I’ll share the title when I have a cover to go with it;). It will release December 9th, 2014 from Loose Id and is swashbuckling, tongue-in-cheek Christmas fun  Here are the opening 8 sentences.

“Holly Acklin stormed into her supervisor’s office without knocking. “Mr. Tannenbaum, I’ve had enough. I must resign from my position as traffic controller, effective immediately.”

Nicholas Tannenbaum, chief Aether traffic controller for the London Royal Port Authority, the largest and busiest dirigible port in England, looked up from his mountain of paperwork and stroked his long white beard. The sparkle in his eyes dimmed. “Indeed? Mrs. Acklin, I’m very sorry to hear that. What has brought on this rather abrupt decision?”

Holly straightened her back and lifted her chin.”

Things have been exhausting and frustrating with work, family and writing. FPWL, my current WIP, is killing me. Nothing is coming together and I hate every word I write. I’m looking forward to my tour of the WeWriWa and catching you snippets. Fingers crossed they inspire me to push through the crap (no pressure;).

Tangled Redemption, book 4 in the Celestial Surrender series, is out in the world and this is my final snippet. I hope you enjoyed Sydney, Miguel and Jayden’s adventure.

Last week Jayden put the moves on Sydney and I had a few questions about Miguel. I hope this snippet, which is a little way after last week’s, will give you a taste;). We’re in Jayden’s POV.

“All right,” Jayden rubbed his hands together, “So, what should we do first?”

“First you will undress Sydney. Then you will lay her out on the bed and feast on her until you have brought her to pleasure three times.”

Jayden frowned at Calatrave. “Who has gone and made you king?”

The other Vampire didn’t respond but walked—no strode—to a large, surprisingly comfortable looking chair at the foot end of the bed and sat down, his fingers steepled beneath his chin, for all intents and purpose looking like a master waiting for his minions to fall in line.

Jayden paused. Maybe that was it.”

Last week Jayden challenged Miguel to seduce Sydney as voluntary submission was far more erotic than force. Sydney is off balance and unsure what is going on, but the cold ball of fear that had curled tight in her stomach finally releases. She is about to discover that Jayden has a few moves. We are in her point of view and Jayden speaks first.

“Let me show you.”

Distracted by Jayden’s smile and the way he didn’t seem to take anything seriously she didn’t see him move. He wrapped both arms around her, pulled her close against his chest and kissed her.

His lips were firm but soft. Where she had expected coercion she got seduction. His lips teased her; force she could have fought, but his approach left her helpless to fend off. It had been too long since she had kissed a man. And Jayden was a formidable kisser who left her hungry for more.

I have started on my next WIP, a steampunk novella (that’s the planned length, but my books tend to end up longer than expected a lot of the times;) set in the same world as my upcoming Christmas novella Dirigibles Are Forever. My outline is incredibly detailed: The hero and villain talk. Things happen. The Black Moment approaches. I may have to think a little more before I start on those scenes;). It’s nice to be writing again and my heroine Vanessa intrigues me to no end. I’ll start sharing once I have a few words down.

My Sexy Saturday – Tangled Redemption

This week’s theme My Sexy Saturday theme is “Sexy Halloween”. I am very excited to introduce you to Sydney, Miguel and Jayden from Tangled Redemption, book 4 in my Celestial Surrender series. Miguel and Jayden are Vampires and I don’t believe there is anything more synonymous with Halloween than dark and dangerous Vampires.

Sydney finds herself as the pet of two Vampires she knows she should not trust. But trust and attraction don’t always have to go together…

“Sydney thrust her hand into Jayden’s hair and dragged him down for a kiss. This time she didn’t look for seduction.

He hesitated for a second but then followed her direction wholeheartedly. Fire flashed through her. But at no point did she forget Miguel, his heat a blaze at her back. When he flattened his palms across her stomach and caressed her through her clothes, the flames fanned by Jaden’s kiss flared higher.

Jayden kicked the sofa and it changed beneath them into a bench all of them ended up straddling. He smoothed his hand down her back, cupped her ass and pulled her against his erection. He deepened the kiss and she welcomed him. Their tongues tangled. She rubbed her tight nipples against his hard chest and savored the inferno.

Jayden pulled back. They both breathed hard. “Holy Jade, woman, you’re dangerous.” His eyes matched the conflagration inside her, his lips still curved in a smile. He looked over her shoulder. “I think we should try something new.”

“What do you have in mind?” Miguel leaned so close his voice vibrated through her body.

“We should see how many times we can make her come, while the two of us remain in control.”

Sydney leaned back a little, the back of her head bumping into Miguel’s broad shoulder. That definitely sounded interesting. ”

I’d planned to move on to  new project, but then I realised that Tangled Redemption, book 4 in the Celestial Surrender series, releases in a week and a half and decided to continue sharing for a couple more weeks;).

Today’s snippet is a few pages after last week’s. Sydney, now Miguel and Jayden’s “pet” finds herself alone in a room with them, but things are not as she anticipated. We are in her point of view.

“How is this going to work?” Their behavior did not match her expectations. Where she’d anticipated force she’d found calm.

Jayden took her hand and she let him. “I know Nasir—and you—expected our encounter to be filled with violence,” he shook his head. “I find voluntary submission much more erotic.” He turned to Miguel, “Don’t you?” Challenge echoed through his words despite his even tone.

Tangled Redemption releases next Wednesday and I’m hugely excited (and somewhat stressed out;).

I’d planned to move on to  new project, but then I realised that Tangled Redemption, book 4 in the Celestial Surrender series, releases in a week and a half and decided to continue sharing for a couple more weeks;).

Nasir has handed Sydney over to Miguel and Jayden as a pet, making it very clear that if she does not fall in line her fate would be considerably worse. In last week’s snippet Sydney struggled with her response to the two men. She cannot believe she could be attracted to what she presumes are monsters, especially after the disaster with her late husban. Creative punctuation has been used.

“After what felt like an age but probably was no longer than fifteen minutes they arrived outside a door; Calatrave entered a code and then leaned forward for an iris scan. He then put his hand into another scanner; it took her a moment to identify it as an aura scanner. “Jade, talk about paranoia,” she muttered angry that she’d been so busy with berating herself she hadn’t paid any attention to where they had been going or what they’d walked past.

She was completely useless at this operative business.

But that was about to change.

Sydney was at the center of ring, at the very core of where things were decided and planned. She would do everything in her power to gather intel and send it to Duncan and Tanasha. The Vampires underestimated her-she could use that.

And if it killed her at least she’d tried.”
