NIP IT In The Bud



"Bullying is NOT just about the bully and the victim. It's about ALL the bystanders, and people that witness the bullying take place and don't do a stinking thing about it. They are more wrong than the bullies.



I don't care if it's in a school, on the internet, at a party, in a club, or on the job, bullies usually don't bully as often when it's just them and their victim. They feed off of the people around them while they are bullying. Sadly, sometimes the people standing around get caught up in "rooting on the bully," and it just adds fuel to the fire.



So, we don't just need to teach our children, and each other, to stand up for ourselves and not allow someone to bully us, but we need to teach them to stand up for someone else that is being bullied too. If we all would stop the bullying from taking place in the very moment it was happening we would take the power away from the bully. As Barney Fife used to say, "We've got to NIP IT, NIP IT in the bud."



Stand up for EACH OTHER. TOGETHER we can STOP the BULLIES. " ~tf
