Time Is Irreverent 2: Jesus Christ, Not Again!
Last week I finished the second draft of Time Is Irreverent 2: Jesus Christ, Not Again! and I’m already well into the third draft. I’m really excited about the new novel—it’s so much fun! Whether it’s better than the first in the series, I’ll let the readers decide, but as an author, I naturally think each book I write is better than the one I wrote before it.
Time Is Irreverent 2: Jesus Christ, Not Again! should be available in early 2019. In the meantime here’s another of the New Ten Commandments from the first Marty Mann and Nellie Dixon adventure, Time Is Irreverent.

Leopard seal dream
Marty’s photo of the day #2609: This is a leopard seal along the coast of Antarctica. While I have much closer shots of leopard seals, I like the feel of this one. Antarctica never got totally dark while we were there, and I took this shot during the twilight hours, when the colors were dreamlike.

GOP thoughts and prayers
Marty’s photo of the day #2608: So far this year, 8,284 people have died via gun shots in the United States, and not a single person has risen from the dead after Republican thoughts and prayers. Frustrated by the lack of results, the Republican Party has added Herbie the Agile Wallaby to their post-shooting thoughts and prayers arsenal. Should Herbie fail, the GOP has negotiated to add Glockus the Praying Mantis to their prayer chain as well.
As their slogan says, “The GOP: We’re a cult and we don’t care. Join us and never care about facts again!”

Crossing the Brooks Range
Marty’s photo of the day #2607: Flying north over the Brooks Range in Alaska is one of the most dangerous flights anywhere. That’s because the tiny airplanes pilots use to land on the tundra in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge barely have enough power to fight the wind blowing south off the Arctic Ocean.
I took this photo on the return flight, which isn’t as dangerous. Even so, once in a while a gust of wind would give us a push, which felt disorienting because it was like being on a surfboard and having an unexpected wave come up behind you to give you a lift.

Porcupine gives “that look”
