J.K Pendragon is a Canadian author with a love of all things romantic and fantastical. They first came to the queer fiction community through m/m romance, but soon began to branch off into writing all kinds of queer fiction. As a bisexual and genderqueer person, J.K. is dedicated to producing diverse, entertaining fiction that showcases characters across the rainbow spectrum, and provides queer characters with the happy endings they are so often denied. J.K. has several romance novels and short stories published with Less Than Three Press, and published their first Young Adult book, Junior Hero Blues with Riptide Publishing's new YA imprint Triton Books in November 2016.

Thanks for your question! I'm definitely one of those (apparently rare) authors who has to fight to get my wordcount up rather than down during edits. To Summon Nightmares is my longest work yet, and, as you said, it still could have been longer. I haven't got any plans to continue the story yet, though I may come back to the characters, or at least the world, in the future. I'm tempted to comment about my intentions for the ending, but I think I'd better hold back and leave it open to readers' individual interpretation. Thanks again, and I'm glad you enjoyed! (less)

I’m Alive! Re-publishing News and General Update

Long time, no see! If it wasn’t obvious, I haven’t been doing much of anything publishing related for the last couple of years. To be honest, I was pretty burnt out, and thinking about taking a step back, even before all my books ended up going out of print, so it was a good opportunity for me to just take a break for a while. Sometimes I get too invested in things, and put all my time and energy

J.R.R. Tolkien
“Fantasy is escapist, and that is its glory. If a soldier is imprisioned by the enemy, don't we consider it his duty to escape?. . .If we value the freedom of mind and soul, if we're partisans of liberty, then it's our plain duty to escape, and to take as many people with us as we can!”
J.R.R. Tolkien

T.S. Eliot
“We have lingered in the chambers of the sea
By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown
Till human voices wake us... and we drown.”
