Inflatable Crowds – Hollywood’s Secret Extras
Featured in Ripley's Believe It or Not!
People are demanding, and expensive. They expect wages, reasonable working conditions, breaks, meals, insurance, benefits, and to be treated like decent human beings.
Joe Biggins recognized an opportunity to get rid of a certain sector of real humans in movies and replace them with – you guessed it – blow up dolls!
The Inflatable Crowd Company was created for SEABISCUIT in 2002. Since then, our Inflatable Crowds have been seen (but not noticed) in over 80 feature films & many TV shows & commercials.
Hiring people for background crowds in movies is time-consuming and costly.
The Inflatable Crowd Company can produce on-demand crowds with none of the hassle or cost of corralling thousands of people.
Each doll is dressed, inflated, and given custom masks. If you have seen a large crowd in a movie lately, chances are, they were provided by Joe Biggins’ Inflatable Crowd Company.
Want to know exactly which movies his crowds have shown up in? Check out this list.

There’s a Typo on the Lincoln Memorial
Featured in Ripley's Believe It or Not!
If you look closely at Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Address carved into the North wall of the Memorial, you’ll notice a slight typo to one of the letters.
Construction on the Lincoln Memorial began in 1914
WWI delayed construction, and the Memorial didn’t open to the public until 1922
Lincoln’s second inaugural addressed, issued on March 4, 1865, is engraved on the wall of the monument
The engraver accidentally chiseled out an ‘E’ where he meant to put an ‘F’
The bottom line of the ‘E’ was filled in so it was turned back into an ‘F’
If you look closely, you can just see the difference

Canadian Police Threaten Drunk Drivers with Nickelback, then Apologize
Featured in Ripley's Believe It or Not!
Kensington Police in Prince Edward Island, Canada, made a grave warning to would-be intoxicated motor vehicle operators, threatening drunk drivers with Nickelback.
In a Facebook post (now removed) the department warned anyone picked up on DUI charges would lose their license for a year, and—even worse—be forced to listen to Silver Side Up.
They added that they owned a sealed cassette of the album and pleaded with travelers not to make them open it.
We’re Sorey
After speaking with the band, Constable Robb Hartlenn had doubts about the joke and reached out to the band.
“They feel just as strong about it as I do. So we decided it was best to take down the original post.”
After seeing a 300% increase in page likes and receiving international media attention, they felt their original message against drunk driving had been lost.
Nickelback
The Canadian band was formed in 1995 and after selling over 50 million albums has been drawing the ire of mass culture for the last decade.
Though no one can deny their commercial success, they definitely are in the running for most hated band.
Detroit Lions fans, for example, collected over 55,000 signatures in protest of Nickelback playing at their Thanksgiving half-time show.
Pickleback
In 2010 a Facebook user set up a now deleted page titled “Can this pickle get more likes than Nickleback?” (purposefully misspelled to avoid copyright infringement). The page rallied 1.5 million fans in a month drawing ire from frontman Chad Kroeger:
“this pickle is rock icon of the decade? haha nope…but i am” -Chad Kroeger

Look at this photograph…
Nickelbackers
If you’re worried you might have friends that secretly like Nickelback, there is a way to check. Follow this link to see if any of your Facebook friends are fans of the band, and take necessary precautions. (I’m currently at nine…)
