Kerstin Lieff came to the United States with her parents as an immigrant from Germany in 1952. She grew up in Minnesota and now calls Boulder her home. She is a recent graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University where she received her Master's Degree in creative writing. Her first book, LETTERS FROM BERLIN, is a memoir of a young woman caught in the devastation of Hitler's Germany and Stalin's Russia, and was published in 2012. Kerstin has been accepted as a Teach For America secondary English teacher and is awaiting her placement to teach in the fall of 2013. She has two children, three grandchildren, and one dog. ...more
