Fanzinología Mexicana 1985-2015 is a compilation that features the graphic and visual narrative from three decades of mexican fanzines. The work collected was originally self-published by and for underground niches like punks, queer activists, artists and amateurs among others. This book intends to be a reference for contextualizing mexican zines as well as showcasing a selection of the graphic from these rare publications. Enrique Arriaga and me coedited this book with material archived at la Fanzinoteca del Museo Universitario del Chopo in Mexico City. For the moment it is only available at the museum and it will be distributed online by Gatosaurio later this year.
I’ll have a few copies of this at Zine Fest Houston this saturday october 17! //// Y el viernes 23 de octubre no se pierdan la presentación en México DF, ahi andaré vendiendo mis stickers, cómics y playeras también!
