Joseph P. Fisher is the co-editor of the collection The Politics of Post-9/11 Music: Sound Trauma, and the Music Industry in the Time of Terror. Joe works as Executive Director of the Academic Resource Center at Georgetown University. His research interests include American literary and cultural studies, popular music studies, and disability theory—particularly within the context of athletics. Worth most of the positive press that it's getting. Gets a bit formulaic in the middle, as it starts to feel like a standard diasporic narrative. It redeems itself at the end, though.
