I had been working on another novel, but I put it down in July of last year. I'm not sure when I can come back to it. Emotionally, I'm not ready to dive into it - it's another story that is close to my heart that is gritty and tough to write. A few months ago I started working on a new novel, but the speaking engagements I've been doing about mental health have limited the amount of time that I have to work on that.

I have a few completed manuscripts for a much younger audience (3-7 years old) and have been writing a lot of poetry to process my grief of losing both a close friend and my mother within a few months of each other. I'm not exactly sure what will happen with the poems - they were written for myself, but I would like to put some of them out into the world in some sort of capacity.
