Deanne Wilsted lives in Seattle WA, but dreams one day of retiring to Italy. Until then you’ll find her writing her fourth novel, perfecting her pasta making, and receiving helpful feedback on both from her twelve year old daughter, her husband, and her dog (she usually goes with the dog’s advice.) For my new project, though, my research actually takes me ou…moreOne of my favorite parts of the writing process is when I get to do research for a story. For my new project, though, my research actually takes me out of the country, to England where the story is set. It is a battle between Harry Potter vs Jane Austen tourist sites, so I am exploring many of the movie locations for the Harry Potter films as well as Jane Austen's homes in Bath (I actually get to stay in it here) and in Steventon/Alton. I also will be visiting Lyme Park, the location for the Colin Firth scene in Pride and Prejudice where he swims in the lake and walks toward his manor in the wet shirt;>)

Because the book is based on a mother daughter relationship (and thus the competing itineraries) I am including my own 10 year old daughter in my travels.
