Casondra Brewster was born in Detroit, Mich. in 1966 to a young blue-collar couple. The oldest of four children, she was not content to stay in the Rust Belt and left home very young to travel the world. She lived in Hawaii for some time, then ended up going to college in Wyoming. After a devastating personal loss she joined the military, which continued her world travels. She would not leave the clutches of the military for more than a decade and a half, before the feel of her true calling to write gave her a new direction. Her personal philosophy is that life is not about finding yourself; it's about creating yourself. Edith I read "The Female Man" a long time ago - back in the 80's or 90's? I gave the book away to the local college's women's center.
