As a radio broadcaster for more than thirty years (twenty-five of them as a morning man), Scott Overton knows the world he writes about in Dead Air.
To most readers, morning radio is as much a part of their breakfast routine as a hot cup of coffee. On the air, Scott has become a friend to thousands as he entertains and informs. He brings those same instincts to his writing, with clear prose and honest feelings.
His short fiction has been published in On Spec, Neo-opsis, and anthologies such as Tesseracts Sixteen, Canadian Tales of the Fantastic and In Poe’s Shadow. He’s also a regular contributor of theatre reviews for a local newspaper.
His other passions include scuba diving and a couple of classic cars.

As its name suggests, its a world like a ring all the way around its sun, so the amount of surface area is simply staggering, and the variety of geography and bizarre life forms is equally mind-boggling. So I'd have plenty to do just being a tourist, traveling from place to place to see the sights. Not to mention that just trying to stay alive and out of trouble on the Ringworld is a full-time occupation in itself!(less)

Or led a special person to your favourite secret nature site in the whole world, hoping they’ll love it as much as you do? It’s kind of like that, but better because the special place you’re sharing has come from your own imagination and effort. I still get a kick out of reading the scenarios I’ve dreamed up, and to know that someone else has enjoyed them is one of the best feelings there is.(less)

MY FIRST SCIENCE FICTION NOVEL CAN SOON BE YOURS

THE PRIMUS LABYRINTH.jpg

I’ve written a number of novel manuscripts, so in deciding to enter “independent publishing” I faced a hard choice: which story should go first?

Well, I’ve decided to go with a science fiction thriller that comes from the Michael Crichton side of my writing persona.

Please welcome: The Primus Labyrinth!

Here’s the back cover blurb:

A woman’s bloodstream has been seeded with death.

An American president must betray his country or sacrifice a...
