Kayla Lowe is a Christian romance author who dabbles in poetry and loves reading. She's an editor by day and writer by night. She enjoys novels about the Phantom of the Opera as well as an eclectic mix of fiction and non-fiction. Kayla has been writing professionally since 2007, and in 2011, she was one of the "Top 100 Writers on Yahoo! Voices." When she's not writing or editing, she's curled up with her yorkiepoo or Pomeranian daydreaming up future stories.

Ever since I discovered the classic tale as an innocent and naive 16-year-old girl, I've been enchanted with it. The plight of the infamous Phantom and his tragically misplaced love pulls at my heart like no other story has ever done. I enjoy reading continuations of the tale, re-tellings of it and even historical accounts of events that actually took place in or around the Paris Garnier during that Victorian age.

However, I also enjoy reading Christian Fiction works, most notably those by fellow Christian Fiction author, Kristen Heitzmann, as well as historical fiction romance novels, vampire novels and occult fiction novels. Of course, I also enjoy the occasional biography or classic as well as poetry. As you can see, my reading preferences are quite eclectic. Lol. (less)

To know that you've brought a sense of adventure or happiness to your readers, if even for just a little while, is something really special. Readers get to know your characters; they fall in love with them and to know that you've provided them with something like that provides you with a feeling that is unparalleled. (less)

My very favorite!

Of all the books in this series, this one was my very favorite! It’s no wonder it won awards. Sprinkled with history that lends it an air of authenticity and written in Rouen’s charming writing style, this book was difficult to put d

Brava!

I loved this book the most so far out of the entire series. Madame Dupont’s character is a comfort in steadfastness. I was very saddened by the ending (by many things that happened in this book). However, everything that happened seemed to fit.

I think this is my favorite of the series. We're finally more into my favorite leading man: Cole. Cole seems so hard on the surface, but his gentle treatment of Jenny shows that he has a soft side too. His devotion to Abbie for so many years is a tru ...more

“Little Lotte thought of everything and nothing. Her hair was golden as the sun's rays and her soul as clear and blue as her eyes. She wheedled her mother, was kind to her doll, took great care of her frock and her little red shoes and her fiddle, but most of all loved, when she went to sleep, to hear the Angel of Music.”
