*A note about Kayla's ratings*

1 star - I didn't like it.

2 stars - It was okay.

3 stars - I liked it.

4 stars - I really liked it.

5 stars - I loved it.

Note from the author: "I wanted to take a moment to explain how I rate books so that fellow authors wouldn't get offended if I only give their books 2 or 3 stars. Just because a book only has 2 or 3 stars doesn't mean that it was bad.

Ever since I discovered the classic tale as an innocent and naive 16-year-old girl, I've been enchanted with it. The plight of the infamous Phantom and his tragically misplaced love pulls at my heart like no other story has ever done. I enjoy reading continuations of the tale, re-tellings of it and even historical accounts of events that actually took place in or around the Paris Garnier during that Victorian age.

However, I also enjoy reading Christian Fiction works, most notably those by fellow Christian Fiction author, Kristen Heitzmann, as well as historical fiction romance novels, vampire novels and occult fiction novels. Of course, I also enjoy the occasional biography or classic as well as poetry. As you can see, my reading preferences are quite eclectic. Lol. (less)

To know that you've brought a sense of adventure or happiness to your readers, if even for just a little while, is something really special. Readers get to know your characters; they fall in love with them and to know that you've provided them with something like that provides you with a feeling that is unparalleled. (less)

“Little Lotte thought of everything and nothing. Her hair was golden as the sun's rays and her soul as clear and blue as her eyes. She wheedled her mother, was kind to her doll, took great care of her frock and her little red shoes and her fiddle, but most of all loved, when she went to sleep, to hear the Angel of Music.”
