Hunter Shea is the product of a misspent childhood watching scary movies, reading forbidden books and wishing Bigfoot would walk past his house. He doesn’t just write about the paranormal – he actively seeks out the things that scare the hell out of people and experiences them for himself. Hunter’s novels can even be found on display at the International Cryptozoology Museum. His video podcast, Monster Men, is one of the most watched horror podcasts in the world. He’s a bestselling author of over 13 (lucky number!) books, all of them written with the express desire to quicken heartbeats and make spines tingle. Living with his wonderful family and two cats, he’s happy to be close enough to New York City to gobble down Gray’s Papaya hotdogs w ...more

Joe Lansdale is a hero of mine and I've been in awe with how seamlessly he's managed to meld them both. I figured it was time I got off my keister and got to work spinning my own yarn of cowboys and terror. (less)

Creature by Hunter Shea
"Slower paced than his usual creature books this was an enthralling read.

I absolutely loved it, despite a couple of errors. You don't hold down someone having a fit! Other than that this was brilliant."

"I have read many of Hunter Shea’s novels and have enjoyed them all. Even though this is a horror novel, this book was a departure from Shea’s previous books. There is a lot of characterization with regard to the 2 main characters – mainly Kate who..." Read more of this review »
