Washington Square by Henry James

I gave Washington Square five stars, not because it is my cup of tea, but because it is well done for what it is. After all, it is by Henry James, so I did not expect it to be a warm-hearted and impassioned book, and it would be foolish to rate it on ...more
Another Christmas Carol by Daniel Carter
"I totally enjoyed this little book. The author has a warm, wonderful voice and is a gifted storyteller. With the inclusion of family photographs and biographical data, readers will feel as if they personally know Daniel Carter.

Theodosia and the Pirates by Aya Katz
"If you have any interest in Jean Laffite, or would just like to learn about US westward expansion from a different perspective, then this is an interesting book to read. Jean Laffite was a privateer, so the name of the novel is a bit of a teaser. Wit" Read more of this review »

message 1: by Aya

Aya Katz The Portrait of a Lover by John Wheatcroft is thoroughly well-crafted literary exploration of unilateral love maintained over a lifetime.

I was the editor for this book at Inverted-A, so I feel this disqualifies me form writing a review, but I do invite you to read the book and see for yourself!
