A former teacher, Lynette gave up her career in education a few years ago in order to focus on her writing and thus fulfill her childhood dream. She writes contemporary women's fiction, often involving romance with suspense or a supernatural twist. She claims 'Killing Jenna Crane', a romantic thriller and 'Unworkers' a modern ghost story/women's fiction are her personal favorites to date. Her recent release 'The Nightclub' is a romance packed with suspense, while her latest, 'Cocktails and Lies' is her first foray into the cozy mystery genre. You can find more details of her novels on her website: or Amazon author page:

Regular readers of my blog will know by now how much I admire the stories of my good friend and fellow author, Jenny Twist, so they will understand me wanting to shout out a few words of congratulations to her on her recent success.  In fact, I shouted so loudly, I managed to rouse her from her beautiful idyll in Spain, and persuade her to come and tell us a bit more about her award-winning

Savannah Lyn, thank you for the friendship..

Lynette Sofras My début novel 'The Apple Tree' recently won first prize in a romantic story contest and is being published as an e-book (provisional release date 16 December). I would love to hear your comments on the first chapter available to read here on Goodreads: ( I am both excited and nervous. Thanks :)

Lynette Sofras Very true, which is why I like her. But what I meant was I should perhaps have been more original in my choice as I expect she's most people's favourite!

message 1: by Lissa

Lissa Nah, Lizzie Bennet isn't unoriginal. She's witty, strong-willed, and gets what she wants.
