ML Guida’s News: Madness Balanced

Another exciting Dragons of Zalara book: Madness Unbalanced. I had fun writing this one, especially since the heroine is a romance writer. I based this book on a man I saw trying to paddle board down in Cancun. He never gave up and I knew he would be a character in my next book!

Curvy Chloe Pitt wants to get her book published and at the Romantic Love Convention she meets a famous agent, who wants to hear about her book. She soon finds out he wants more than her book. When she turns him down, he slips a Mickey in her drug, and she wakes up naked at the pool. Humiliated, she flees to Mexico to teach paddle boarding and hide from the world. Nothing could get worse until she meets Drake.

Drake, the Angry One, finally gets chosen to have a mate. The Fates tell him he’s got to be gentle with her, because of her trauma. But he doesn’t listen. After he kidnaps her, in a fit of rage, he battles a small Kamtrinian ship. The battle takes place in another solar system, where the Seps abhor violence.

The Seps put a stop to the violence. Their solution: only the strong will survive. Chloe and Drake have to defeat and kill the Kamtrinian couple or die. But they can use no weapons and Drake can’t change into a dragon. Can they trust each other and prove to the Seps they deserve to live? Or will Drake’s anger, destroy them both?

ML Guida’s New Release: Madness Unhinged: Jack’s Back!

Jack’s Back

My new release, Madness Unhinged, is out, and it’s a Jack the Ripper story. This time, Jack’s an alien and he’s hunting in modern day Colorado. He’s determined to murder all the Dragons of Zalarian’s designated mates. Only Hoss, the chief security officer of the Orion, can stop him. But time is running out for him, since his mate is on Jack’s list. His curvy little mate is an Arvada Homicide Detective and her number one suspect in the murders is Hoss.

Tower of London

Jack the Ripper has always been a fascination for me, so writing the story was fun. I researched the murders and even went on a tour in London. What struck me was that the murders took place close to the Tower of London, which definitely was one of the most castles places I have ever visited. I loved the ghost stories. One of my favorite stories was of Anne Boleyn. Supposedly, Anne walks around the grounds, holding her head. If you get a chance visit the Tower, I promise you won’t forget it and definitely go on the Jack the Ripper tour!

ML Guida’s News: Kindle World is coming down

Amazon’s Kindle World has fallen. The giant has decided to end this program, which I have mixed feeling about. Kindle World allowed authors to write in other worlds to introduce readers to their books. There’s all kinds of decisions being made about what will happen.

I have four books in kindle world, one which just had a launch. The books are Touch of Madness, Touch of Darkness, and Touch of Curiosity, which were all in SE Smith’s Magic, New Mexico. SE Smith has a plan, but I’m not at liberty to say what yet. Stay tuned. All is not loss.

 

 

The other book I had in a kindle world was A Knight’s Terror, which was part of Kathryn Le Veque’s De World of the Wolfe Pack. She’s got some thing brewing on the horizon as well.

As far me, I’m up in the air. I’m busy writing my new scifi world. Although this is closing the door on the Kindle World legacy, another door is opening to new opportunities.

Madness Unhinged is a Jack-the-Ripper story, and it’s part of the 20 Shades of Shifter box set. It’s a fast paced action-romance. The clock is ticking. And times running out for Detective Agnes Malloy and Anonghos. The killer’s one step closer to Agnes, and Anonghos will lose his sexy curvy detective forever.

ML Guida’s News: Fun Times in Mexico

 

I went to Cancun and had a great time with my friend, Evelyn Lederman. While I was done there, I had my hair cut by an ex-Navy Seal. No kidding. I really liked what he did with my hair. It’s not everyday, you have your hair cut by a special forces. He has a shop in Playa del Carmen.

I thought he’d look great on a romantic suspense cover. While I was in Cancun, I thought of another dragon story. My hero is trying to impress his mate with paddle boarding, which he’s never done before. I saw a man who kept falling off his board, but never gave up.

ML Guida’s Teaser: Madness Unleashed

Here’s a teaser from my new release. In a dark parking lot…

Hera blinked. Great balls of fire! An orange dragon with the most intense golden tiger eyes glared at them. His eyes reminded her of her earlier rescuer. The creature was bigger than Desmond’s SUV. It pulled back its lips into a snarl, revealing sharp teeth, and its tail twitched.

“Oh, God,” she whispered. She trembled uncontrollably and held on tight to her purse–the only weapon she had.

Desmond’s friends edged backward. The blood drained from their stricken faces.

“Holy shit!”

“What is that thing?”

Their voices were barely a whisper.

“It can’t be real. It can’t be real. It can’t be real,” Desmond repeated, as if saying it would make the creature disappear.

The beast took a step closer.

“Let’s get the hell out of here,” one of his minions cried. Like frighten cockroaches, they fled in different directions, abandoning Desmond.

The beast snorted, and smoke puffed out its flaring nostrils.

Desmond slid across the building. “Please don’t hurt me.” His plea sounded as pitiful as hers had.

A stream of fire spurted out of the dragon’s mouth, igniting Desmond’s jacket. He ran after his friends, beating the flames and screaming.

Holy Mary of God, she was next. Hera ran, her heart beating faster than a cornered rabbit’s.

But then the beast lunged. In a split second, it transformed–scales disappearing to smooth flesh, eyes and nose changing from beast to man. Great horny toads, it was her handsome hero from the bar.

He blocked her path, then seized her shoulders, pinning her to the wall. “I told you, you’re mine.”
