Signs are Everywhere! Lessons Learned

THIS WAS A SIGN!! Most definitely.

On the evening of Aug. 7 I looked up over our house while outside & saw a phosphorescent glowing blue heart-shaped or angel-winged cloud above our home. It was beaming with glow! Even though it was way too blue to be Moon glow I thought about it for a sec but immediately ruled that out since it was nowhere near the ecliptic (the normal path the moon follows through the sky..along with the Sun & all the other planets).

So…Frank (my hubs) & I pondered it for a few seconds but just kept coming back to “Its a UFO!” I’m no stranger to them & seem to have seen more than my fair share of them. I kept watching the glowing cloud closely, hoping the UFO would make itself known by peeking out from behind…all the while reaching for my iPhone to snap a pic:

Then smacked that pic right up to all my social media Crystal Hotties:

Immediately I got dozens of response on what it might be! Then I started getting other local Crystal Hotties telling me they are looking at the same thing right at that moment. I was overjoyed!!

We were all worked up into a frenzy over this amazing glow over the South Florida early evening sky!! We were all throwing around ideas of what it coud be; an angel, a portal opening, UFO, cosmic energy disturbances.

At the time of this writing:

Clarity

Somewhere about 30 min. in or so along came super-smart chica, Tara, who not only questioned but felt into it & then did a little research (*gasp!*). Here’s what my friend Tara had to say about it:

She figured out all of us seeing this thing were in Florida & perhaps used some of her prior knowledge or did a little Google-ing (AMAZING what you find on the Interwebs…wow, to think I grew up only encyclopedias at our disposal for immediate info cravings…sheeesh!) & quickly figured out that this was most likely from a rocket that was just launched from the Kennedy Space Center & what we were going on about were the glowing chemical left-overs from the launch fuel clinging to the atmosphere.

SIDE-NOTE: So you may be saying…“big whoop. What’s so smart about that?” Point taken, but how often do we remember to do what Tara did? I teach this stuffs & I didn’t do it!

WELL! That totally burst my bubble, but I am a scientist at heart & I always look at the empirical evidence if it’s reliable. I like to think that I keep an open yet skeptical mind. I verified it & yes, indeedy, The Delta IV rocket had just launched & was the most likely culprit of the Cosmic Glow.

Realization & the Lesson

Then I thought to myself:

“Oh My…look at the frenzy that got going. What did I do?”

Actually. not that big a deal since it was all in fun & certainly didn’t hurt anyone or anything but I still jumped on to all the questions on my Facebook page…doing a little damage control & posted that this was a case of mistaken identity. Doh!

I love Tara for doing that! I’ve always noticed a correlation…I’ve noticed the smartest people on Earth are those that ask the MOST questions!!

So many of us just willingly accept whatever is said without really questioning, without looking at the facts, without doing any of our own research. Why? Because, perhaps, we want to. It fits our bias on the situation or it will entertain us with some drama. I LOVE UFO’s & the whole thought of them (or a portal opening up into another dimension) was too damn romantic for me to pass up, so I immediately went with that.

How many times do we do that? Do you just believe something that someone says because they said it? Sounds like fun to believe it? Because getting caught up in the frenzy & the community of it is fun or you feel like you belong now that you & the others are caught in the hoop-lah? Could it even all be LIES that you’re buying into?

I always used to teach my teenage science students to QUESTION EVERYTHING! (Their parents may not have liked that in certain situations. But I still think it was an important life-lesson).

This quote used to hang above my white board in my old science classroom:

“It’s not that I’m so smart , it’s just that I stay with problems longer.” ~ Albert Einstein

Yes, I’ve even brought this thinking over into my current teachings with my students in my Certified Crystal Healer Courses. Don’t just accept it b/c I’m saying it or anyone else is saying it. Do your own experimenting & research & feel into it. Then make up your own mind.

Don’t accept it just because the media is shoving it down your throat or someone said it on Facebook or wherever. If you follow blindly without doing your own research what does that say about you…about me?

Before you make up your mind about someone or something based on something you heard:

please check all the facts
truly consider the source
ask questions
do your own research

…especially if this involves possibly hurting someone else (not that this Glowing Cloud situation did that…just putting that in there b/c I recently personally experienced some hurt caused by lies & think it’s just plain good advice, you know?) The things I know about the people trying to hurt me would make your toes curl but I’m going to be the bigger person. NO DRAMA. And please don’t bring drama or gossip to my space b/c you will be promptly deleted & banned. It’s my house & I keep it clean. My mantra through something like this is:

I send love & compassion to all while still protecting myself.♥

The Glowing Cloud frenzy really brought to light an important lesson for me. So, I thought I should take advantage of the platform I have here to impart this lesson to you, if you’re resonating with all of this. Maybe you’re already one of those smart-cookies like Tara & so this is all preaching to the choir. If so…I am in deep admiration of you!♥

If you’re more like I was with the Glowing Cloud…please remember, there may be MUCH MORE to the story than you know. There may be many calculated lies & drama b/c that’s what certain people thrive on…it’s oxygen to some. Know anyone like that? Is there a history of a similar pattern repeating itself over & over with certain people? Careful who you give your credence to. Did you do your due diligence? Or are you just ready to BELIEVE hook, line & sinker b/c someone said it? Please don’t go through life that way.

And when you’re just totally confused by what you’ve turned up through your questioning & research…simply ask your intuition.

Trust your heart, Jelly Bean. It does KNOW. No matter what. ♥

What’s missing in college – Crystals?

OK, can I get a little academic with ya & geek-out this week? Again? OK, I’m gonna.

I think– as a former anthropology undergraduate student (my major was actually Biological Anthropology with an emphasis in Primatology. Aren’t you glad you asked?)LOL!… Okay, so, I was saying, I really feel there was 1 thing that was really missing from that major. What the heck does all this have to do with crystals? You’ll see!

At the time I was in college in the early 90′s there were 4 different disciplines that fell under the Anthropology umbrella(maybe it’s still that way, IDK):

Biological Anthropology
Archaeology
Social Anthropology
Cultural Anthropology

Then, like I did with my major, you can drill down even further & get into 1 specific aspect of it so I focused in on the primates; they are such loves, aren’t they? Gorillas are my favorite, favorite, favorite!!! But, okay, I digress. I do that a lot.

So, I always felt like there was this deep, cavernous hole of missing info in the Cultural Anthropology sector of it. What’s this gap, you say? It’s the whole study of non-modern cultural tools. Many different societies are studied in these disciplines & a lot of them non-Western, because those are the ones that are most unfamiliar to us here in the Western world. The professors & books would talk about the ancient customs & then in the social anthropology aspect of it; how that morphed into modern ways of being & their different hierarchies within the societies, whether their matriarchal or patriarchal & all that kind of sort of stuff.

But, we never really got into the tools that native or indigenous cultures (people with a close tie to Mother Earth) used unless we were talking about in the archaeology part of it; looking at the tools in that way from an archaeological aspect. We never got into the medicine man & the shaman & specifically what they do, their roles & analyzing their tools (some passed down for generations…the history there!!)…and the drumming and of course, the crystals. Ahhhhh, there it is. See? I told ya. 

But, sometimes I’d catch a glimpse in a photo or movie and see the crystals being used. Of course, I’d perk up! *urrrgh?* But no juicy info was to be had.

Crystals. Especially quartz crystal. Quartz plays a very important role in a lot of these tools used for ceremonial or ritualistic purposes. I kept seeing them but I never heard them spoken about once, — when I say “spoken about”, I mean really taught about. Sometimes it was briefly mentioned in the academic books, but it was basically just lightly brushed over or just mentioned as a quick aside.

All these questions I had & no one to answer them…at least not in most universities from the research I did at the time. Not even a book (but if you know of a book…PLEASE post it in the comments below b/c I think I speak for many whan I say we’d love to read it!!) And I’ve been out of undergrad college for a long time so maybe some of you whipper-snappers can tell me different. Now that would be a DELIGHT!!

Even now, I try to do my own research & I’ve found some but I’ve also found that these stories surrounding the Stone People are closely guarded. And most likely, rightly so. But there are even entire courses dedicated just to the pyramids of Giza, so I propose this!:

We need a new course or 2 under the Anthropology umbrella. Okay, universities, are you listening? A course where you really delve into & explore things like rituals, ceremony & the important tools, crystals, medicine bundles, etc. used in those rituals & ceremonies. What is the drumming is for? The trances that they go into. Why? The contemplation periods, the vision quests, medicine wheels & the tools used alongside with all of these things. What’s the history behind it?

That would be a dream come true! Wouldn’t it?? Or is it just me?

Then, you could follow it up with optional field trips. Traveling to go visit the surviving societies in different countries, participating in their rituals. *If they are welcoming to this sort of thing.* Students could come & participate & perhaps for 1 or 2 to apprentice alongside a medicine man, a shaman. I know many an anthropology student has done that with other roles. Of course, this would all rely on the indigenous community being willing, because sometimes they’re not & that’s totally understandable.

But this would allow those who were interested to learn where the practices really came from, the legends behind them, how they use the tools, why they use them, what they’re used for & the crystals would be a big part of that because it is a big part. How interesting would that be?

Okay, so, that’s my thought for the day.

Can you prepare foods &/or medicines using crystals & stones?

Some of us get soooo into our crystals that we want to use them in absolutely everything we do! Am I right? Ya feel me?

First! A Warning & Disclaimer:

You must be very careful & do your own research yourself on which stones are safe to place in anything you will be ingesting!! There are some stones that can be  toxic. Some may contain copper, aluminum, lead, etc. I know a fellow crystal healer who fell ill from accidentally ingesting highly toxic stibnite due it containing lead and antimony. So due your own due diligence & be careful. You may want to consult my Toxic Stones Page here. Since there are over 4500 minerals there is no way to list them all but that page is a good start.

Let’s get to it!

So the short answer to the above page title is YES! We absolutely can use crystals and stones to prepare foods & medicines of all sorts.

You can create crystal water or as I like to call it: gem elixirs & then, anything that you cook using water can be made with gem elixir water! That’s right. Infuse that water p with whatever stone property will do what you intend. For instance, if I was making an energy-boosting morning smoothie I would put in some energy-boosting carnelian gem elixir water into it…as I often do!

Along with quartz & many other crystals, water is a powerful energy transmitter &  conductor. Dr. Emoto showed us that with his fascinating water experiments. If you’d loved to simply be blown away by what he’s discovered you may like to check out his books on the topic. Here’s my fav:

 

One of the foundational concepts I teach in my courses is that quartz crystals are programmable under certain circumstances…as is water. And so are we, human beings!

Soooo, what we can do is combine the 3 together to complete a circuit, like a supreme energy conductor! Easy-Peasy-Lemon-Squeezy!

To make things really easy & practical you can just plop a crystal into your drinking water. I do this daily. If you’ll be taking it along with you just be sure to use a glass container (or BPA-free steel container) as I did here for my amethyst water:

 

Good Mood & Energy Boosting Morning Smoothie

I have a new Good Mood & Energy Boosting Morning Smoothie that I whipped up the other day. Just throw it all into a blender & go (of course, take the stone out of your water before throwing into blender. LOL!!) Here’s the recipe:

1/2 Tbsp cacao nibs
1/2 c. frozen organic raspberries
1 Tbsp silica gel (yes…this is the stuffs that quartz crystal is made of & helps your hair, skin & nails grow better plus so much more!)
1 tsp maca powder
 1 tsp raw organic honey
1-1/2 c (to your preference) carnelian gem elixir water

 

Sometimes I’ll make a tea if I’m not feeling well. I can make a blue lace agate gem elixir tea adding in organic licorice root & mullein herb for my lungs if I’m feeling a touch of asthma. I also have this tea infuser that has a crystal on the end or you can place the crystal in your tea-cup too to boost up that specific vibrational frequency that you’re tapping into.

Oils & Medicines

You can amplify the healing frequencies of just about anything with crystals & stones. I really can go on & on here…place a crystal or stone in your lotions, ointments, oils of sorts (how about a chakra anointing oil or an herbal cooking oil?) make a room spray, a  meditation spray or gem/flower essence.

You can even use a stone as a physical tool like using a rose quartz sphere to mix your food or homemade beauty products, as a pestle just as I’ve seen my friend Jacqueline DuBois, The Moon Mother do. I saw her doing that in a video and said “that’s great!”

As you can see you can use your creativity & imagination & take this so much farther.
