Tuesday Teaser - Bound by War

Excerpt from Bound by War

It had been unit years since anything had touched the very core of him.

While he was trying to puzzle that out, there came a muted but livid shout. Concerned, he tried to force his eyes open but had no luck. Trying to raise his arms or moved his legs wasn’t happening either. His body refused to respond.

Stars above, he really was completely helpless. No wonder they didn’t consider him a threat. He wasn’t. Not right now. He needed that IV out of him. The pain medication left him hazy and unable to defend himself.

There was the click of the chart going back to its place and footsteps away from the bed. He heard a swish of a door opening.

“What the hell, Raiden?” Neo asked.

Fuck a black hole. He should’ve known. Where one of this group was, the others were never far behind.

“I heard we transported up a Blishue. I couldn’t believe we allowed that kind of space trash on this ship, so I had to come and see.”

Thursday Book Recommendation

These are books I’ve read and really enjoyed. Most of what I talk about will probably be paranormal/scifi but not always. Although it’s rare, I do read some contemporary.

This week is: Beneath the Opal Arc: Immortal Jewels Volume I: (MM Medieval Fantasy Romance) by Lee Colgin

Blurb: As the battle rages around him, Laurence stops to witness a witch casting a powerful magical arc. Werewolves race past, running for cover, but Laurence can’t tear his gaze from the vulnerable spellcaster.

When Remy is injured, he doesn’t expect a vampire to come to his rescue. What is he to Laurence if not dinner? But Laurence carries him to safety, ensures he gets treatment, and protects him from a pack of angry werewolves.

No one knows how long the magical arc will only hold. Frightened by what might happen when it falls, Remy needs to escape the frontlines and find a safe haven before his own people hunt him down for treason.

As sparks fly between the unlikely pair, can they find solace in love, or will the supernatural war claim two more victims?

Beneath the Opal Arc

~A vulnerable witch lost on enemy soil

~A lonely vampire fighting to protect his charge

~A love story neither of them saw coming

Beneath the Opal Arc is an MM Paranormal Romance packed with adventure, a steamy love story, and danger at every turn. This novel contains violence and scenes intended for mature readers.

Tuesday Teaser - Bound by War

Excerpt for Bound by War

He was used to the odors of blood, sweat, and the atmospheric bitter scent of a discharged phasers. Added into that was often anger, which had its own acidic flavor. He’d lived with that one for longer than he cared to remember. But this scent made him hunger for something he’d never had before: a partner.

He forced his brain to wade through the fogginess of pain medication, plus dehydration, and reason this out. He discreetly inhaled, and it finally dawned on him.

What he smelled remined him of the ocean and the Ne Reyn. But this was fresh and invigorating, unlike many of Ne Reyn who now carried the scent of anger and fear thanks to a civil war.

This scent was different. Gentler. There was sweetness to it. Unsoiled. It called to him, invading the darkest part of his soul, and teased him with a promise. He just didn’t know a promise of what, though. It had been unit years since anything had touched the very core of him.

Thursday Book Recommendation

These are books I’ve read and really enjoyed. Most of what I talk about will probably be paranormal/scifi but not always. Although it’s rare, I do read some contemporary.

This week is: by C.G. Rayne

Blurb: A contract with a devil…?

Gabriel Morgan never imagines his eighteenth birthday will end with the doors of his home being kicked in by gun-wielding thugs intent on stealing away his little sister as payment for his estranged father’s gambling debts. Pushed into an impossible corner, Gabriel is on the brink of doing something unspeakable when billionaire business mogul Darrien Stathos steps into the fray and announces a contract that nullifies all other claims—for Gabriel. Only too willing to be the sacrificial martyr to save his family, the cost of surrendering himself to Darrien, however, may be more than Gabriel bargains for.

Demon, alien, vampire, or just a plain human monster rumored to be the international crime lord known as Kairos, Gabriel has heard all whispered about this handsome, yet intimidating, savior. Whispers he is starting to fear are true when he witnesses a few disturbing incidents involving Darrien that cannot be rationally explained. Add to that the constant harassment of a couple of FBI agents intent on unearthing damning evidence that will prove that the crime lord, Kairos, is Darrien’s true face, as well as an assassination attempt on Darrien, and Gabriel starts to think that maybe sharing Darrien’s bed is the least daunting thing he will have to face.

Who is Darrien really, and why is he so interested in an ordinary guy like Gabriel, a guy just struggling to help his family make ends meet like millions of others? Gabriel isn’t sure he wants to know the answer, but when has the universe ever given him anything other than the finger?

This is a m/m reimagining of the urban fantasy/paranormal romance story previously published as The Supreme Moment. It contains several scorching-hot scenes and mature language with a HFN plot resolution.

Tuesday Teaser - Bound by War, The Next Generation Book 4

Except from Bound by War

The cooling unit kicked on, and a breeze drifted across him. It brought with it a tantalizing scent. Brine. Salt. Seaweed. Tangy, but coldly fresh and invigorating. Made him think of sunlight reflecting off gently rolling waves and warm breezes.

Every nerve lit up, but his body was still mostly uncooperative. That scent belonged to someone. Stars above, he wanted to hunt the owner of that scent down, subdue them, and carry them back to his dwelling. He’d provide for them and kill any male who came too close.

Mine.

Mine.

Mine.

He was used to the odors of blood, sweat, and the atmospheric bitter scent of a discharged phasers. Added into that was often anger, which had its own acidic flavor. He’d lived with that one for longer than he cared to remember. But this scent made him hunger for something he’d never had before: a partner.
