Thursday Book Recommendation

 

These are books I’ve read and really enjoyed. Most of what I talk about will probably be paranormal/scifi but not always. Although it’s rare, I do read some contemporary.

This week isBrandon's Very Merry Haunted Christmas (Mack's Marvelous Manifestations Book 1) by AJ Sherwood

 

 

Blurb: When Brandon Havili gets recruited by the FBI, he’s immediately assigned to shadow his brother and the psychic Donovan’s anchored to. Brandon doesn’t mind this in the slightest. He loves his brother, Jon seems cool, and it’s a great way to learn how to be an anchor, which is what the FBI wants him for. It’s supposedly three weeks of just following people around and observing.

 

But there’s a hitch in the plans. Brandon accidentally picks up a hitchhiker of the ghostly variety. Donovan is NOT pleased. Jon is amused to no end.

 

Dealing with the ghost means going back to the place Brandon accidentally got it from, Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They expect to meet up with an FBI medium, exorcise said ghost, and go home again.

 

FBI Medium Mackenzie Lafayette is not at all what Brandon expects. And for once, he’s quite happy to ditch the plan. Returning to Nashville can wait. He’s got a sexy medium to figure out first.

Pucker Up Monday

 Welcome to Pucker Up Monday. It’s not what you think, lol. Since Mondays do tend to suck, I thought I’d try to start the week off right for y’all.

Health update

Surgery for the uterine cancer went well! I came home Thursday night, but it was really late. Another surgery before mine had some trouble, so that delayed mine. We got home around 10pm that night. Glad I had my pain meds filled the day before! (And they gave me the good stuff too.)

I'm still napping a lot, but the pain hasn't been bad. I've avoided the pain in the shoulder deal that seems to be part of robotic surgery, so yayay for that! I'm up walking around, eating pretty good, and resting. The incisions are healing nicely, and we've had only one major freak over them (They seep, just FYI). All in all, I feel pretty damn good, lol.
I see my oncologist this upcoming Friday, so we'll see if I'm still Stage 1 for sure and then go from there.
