Heidi Angell I had the privelege of reading it before all the hype. It was a well-thought-out story with fully developed characters and the writing was... decent. It was not my cuppa tea (I despise what she did to Vampires) but I found myself at times relating to the main characters. Plus, I grew up in the Midwest and she made me homesick with her written descriptions of the land. There is a reason she got the hype and it wasn't just the marketing team. I loved her book The host as she took a completely original topis, so she couldn't mangle another tradition!! It displays that she is a good writer.

Cary How nice you where to give Twilight a three star. I actually bought that book at the bookstore I was so blown away by all the hype. By the first couple chapters I knew I had been duped. So I gave it to a G.F. who laughed, and donated it to the Tulsa library where she works. : )
