Click to hear today's haiku. Bonus: In the spirit of haiku, here's my 2013 wrap-up in three screenshots.
You can do three shots can't you?
A friend heard me
reading a cherry blossom haiku on NPR
(I know, right?) and called to say, “I rather like hearing you read the haiku. It’s more convenient than reading it myself.” So I started this blog just for her, and now you. 154 haiku and counting.
Through a series of miracles—or rather, thanks to miraculously kind and helpful people—this somehow happened. Thank you,
Suzanne Weber
,
Monika Verma
, and
Running Press
.
By now completely delusional, I wondered whether Suburban Haiku might magically appear on NickMom. The truly motherfunny
Nicole Leigh Shaw
introduced me to the wonderful
NickMom
team and the next thing you know
this happened
. And one more shot for 2014. Cheers! The story starts
here
. I really think you're gonna like it, you guys.
I wish each of you the very best of everything in the coming year. I can't wait to see where it takes us.
