Too shabby, not enough chic

You know what's handy, man?  Subscribe. Picture Did you miss me, or was the cul de sac nice and quiet while I was gone? Surprisingly, the world kept turning, so we have some catching up to do. Grab another handful of jellybeans and let's get started.

Nicole Leigh Shaw interviewed me for We Are Teachers and somehow I found it in my heart to say some kind words about a noble profession. In haiku, naturally.

Speaking of heart, I popped up on Huffington Post Parents to haiku my heart out for all the boy moms out there. If that's you, you might want to bring a tissue.

If the tissue is an actual Kleenex, your spouse may be more generous than mine. Have a look at the things my husband is convinced will bankrupt our family, over on NickMom.

Finally, The Momisodes read my new book and considers it a cautionary tale. But when it comes to the suburbs, never say never, amiright?

I think that's it. So what did I miss while I was away? Tell me something good!

Gimme a break!

Waiting in the driveway until I get back? Subscribe. Picture Illustration by Mike Lowery, for Suburban Haiku: Poetic Dispatches from Behind the Picket Fence Spring Break road trip! Apparently, some people around here need a break from haiku. And those people are stopping me from packing up my microphone and bringing it on the road.

Since you'll have an extra 30 seconds a day while I'm gone, wouldn't it be amazing to have a handy little book you could read in 30-second increments? Hmmm . . . If only such a book existed. How genius would that be?

If you start to get the shakes, you can always get a social media fix. I'll be back soon. Smooches!
