I will read anything by Mary Roach. Of course, my favorite parts in this book were about farting and pooping in a space suit. Hilarious.

Not a Hemingway fan and I despise everyone in this book. However, I did understand it more than I did in high school, so now I know why I hated it then. That said, you have to recognize Hemingway's form and methods. So I am doing that.

There are some kooky stories here, but classics, too. Short stories were FSF's bread and butter, but they can't shine as much as the novels. Always a good, solid read.

Laurie Notaro, I Love Everybody

“I want a man as nice as my retarded dog, but one that doesn't crap on the floor.”
Laurie Notaro, The Idiot Girls' Action-Adventure Club: True Tales from a Magnificent and Clumsy Life

“I need to learn to recognize and identify these danger signs when I see them, and not brush them off as "eccentricities," "lovable oddities," or "a sign that he s crying out for help and the comforting of a codependent nurturer that only I, Princess Enabler, can provide. Bad boyfriends don't disguise themselves; their girlfriends do it for them. ”
