Favorite Scifi TV Shows of My Childhood Part 1
It’s been a while since I have had the inclination to blog at all — mostly because I have been too busy, but also because I didn’t really have anything I felt compelled to post.
I’m trying to get back in to the habit of at least semi-regular posting. Toward that end, I’ve decided to mine my childhood for nostalgic memories of my favorite scifi shows while growing up.

The Lost Temple – Chapter 4
I am nearly finished editing Dragon Star sequel (The Lost Temple). I hope to have it out by the end of the year. I should blog more, but I don’t see that happening soon. In the meantime I thought I’d post chapter 4 of The Lost Temple.
THE PHILOSOPHER — KADMALLIN
BIRD CALLS and the endless rhythmic crash of ocean surf against rocks filled the air along the desolate stretch of coast at the south side of the small pilgrim to...

The Lost Temple – Chapter 3
It has been far too long since I have posted here. Too much life to deal with and not enough things to say. But I am hoping to post a little more regularly as I finish the final edit of the Dragon Star sequel (The Lost Temple). Toward that goal, here is Chapter 3.…

The Lost Temple – Chapter 2
As I know I should post something but don’t really have time to write an origibal post, below is Chapter Two of The Lost Temple (the sequel to The Dragon Star). Please note, this has not been fully proofed, so please forgive the inevitable typos. They’ll be gone by the time it’s published.

The Lost Temple – Chapter 1
There hasn’t been much time for blogging lately. Most of my free time goes into working on a screenplay and editing The Lost Temple, the lost gestating sequel to The Dragon Star. I thought I’d post the first chapter here, since I’d rather spend my time working on the book or things related to it than writing blog entries.

What I’m Listening to…
I thought I’d share the new music I’ve been listening too lately. Not that all of it is new. Some are new or recent releases, but some are simply new to me.
Larkin Poe – Venom & Faith
Rebecca and Megan Lovel have a new album and it’s great. I’ve been listening to it all weekend.

Uncharacteristically Political
One of my many uncles posted a long comment in support of Trump on facebook lately that I felt I needed to reply to. After writing the reply, I realized that it might make a good blog post. I have avoided post political material as I didn’t want to confuse the “brand” as the marketing folks say.…

Where Science and Religion Can Be Compatible
Today I thought I’d post another excerpt from The Alchemy of World and Soul. Below is a chapter called Where Science and Religion Can Be Compatible:
Physicist Sean Carroll wrote recently that “The reason why science and religion are actually incompatible is that, in the real world, they reach incompatible conclusions.

Story Splashes
It’s been a long summer, and a long time since I posted here. Not that I haven’t been busy. I’ve been slowly editing The Lost Temple (the sequel to The Dragon Star), writing a sci-fi screenplay, researching a time travel love story, and creating a social media campaign based on what I call story splashes.

Mixed Media Again
I am not a good blogger. I don’t really have the time or the inclination, but I do want to get better at posting regularly (building the author platform and all that blah, blah, blah). To that end, another mixed media post:
New Music: Khruangbin
I don’t know exactly what this Texas trio is doing or how they are doing it, but damn I love it.
