Morris K. Jacobson



Morris K. Jacobson, author of numerous scientific articles dealing with malacology and related subjects, is an associate in Malacology at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. Under a National Science Foundation grant awarded in 1969, he wrote several monographs on the land mollusks of Cuba. He has also co-authored several popular books on mollusks, among them Wonders of the World in Shells. Mr. Jacobson was trained in linguistics at Columbia University in New York and has taught foreign languages for many years. He is now retired from teaching and lives with his wife in Belle Harbor, New York. (Dodd, Mead & Company)
