The Duke, The Duchess And The Franchise King®: A Reunion
I had to wait a lot longer than I thought I would.
I know thatThe Duke and The Duchess are busy people.
But, I am too.
Keep going…
Royalty
I know thatThe Duke and The Duchess are Royalty.
But, so am I.
I know that The Duchess is pregnant-so she’s especially tired these days.
But still.
I really needed to jet up to NYC to see them. After all, they’re family.
Dukes, Duchesses, Kings, Princes, Princesses, Queens-there just aren’t that many of us around anymore. That’s why it’s so darn important for us to...

This Could Put Waiters And Waitresses On The Unemployment Line
Please don’t pass this blog post onto any family members or friends that wait tables for a living. You’ll only succeed in depressing them.
Big time.
As a mater of fact, if you do pass this blog post onto the waiters and waitresses in your life, they’ll probably decide to never wait on you again.
Please don’t do it.
The Scenario
It’s Friday night, and your kid is back from college for winter break.
She likes-and misses, Panera Bread. The girl needs some soup and a muffin. Heck, she’ll eat anything P...

Franchise Interviews: Auntie Anne’s®
(Sponsored Post)
Food franchises are top of mind for a large number of today’s franchise business opportunity seekers. But, why?
Well, for one, food franchises are very visible; they’re everywhere.
Food franchises can be found in malls and strip centers…even in travel plazas.
Another reason…and this is a very common one I hear from people who contact me, “people have to eat.”
Franchise Interviews: Auntie Anne’s®
In addition to traditional locations like the ones mentioned above, there are also “non...

All Bloggers Must Do This January 1st
(That’s me writing the blog post you’re now reading.)
Are you a blogger?
Do you own a website?
If so, there’s something really important that you need to do.
And, you need to do it January 1st.
Are you wondering what “it” is?
Good!
In order to find out, I’m going to ask you to do one little thing.
Only read this blog post for the next 5 minutes.
That means you can’t look at TweetDeck, Hootsuite, or your iPhone or Droid.
This will only take 5 minutes. I know…5 minutes is a long time for bloggers.
Ready?

How And Why Are Pizza Fusion Franchisees Walking Away?
You can’t just walk away from a franchise you have purchased-and operated.
Not only can’t you just “walk away” from what’s typically a 10-year franchise agreement, you certainly can’t just change the name of your franchise business-and start an eerily-similarone on your own.
One would think.
Unless you’re Pizza Fusion franchisees.
You’ve heard of Pizza Fusion, right?
Pizza Fusion
This pizza franchise chain was ranked #4 in the Fast Casual Magazine 2009 Movers And Shakers Report. Pretty impressive.
A...

Future Franchise Owners Are Really Starting To Worry Me
I haven’t been sleeping too well the last few weeks.
Maybe it’s:
The fact that it gets dark at 5:30 pm
The winter season
The idiots in Washington D.C.
Everyday worries
My age
Or…
This
Future Franchise Owners Are Really Starting To Worry Me
That’s right.
The people I serve…the people I’ve been:
Writing franchise articles for
Producing franchise videos for
Consulting with
Talking on the phone with for free
Providing scores for-after they’ve taken my Free Franchise Quiz
All of them are starting to worry me. Espec...

Quiznos: What Happened To Joe The Franchisee?
I don’t know Joe.
What I do know is this:
Someone named “Joe” left a comment on a post I wrote concerning the Quiznos lawsuit and the huge settlement amount the parties agreed to.
(It was a class-action lawsuit)
I have no idea if Joe was a genuine former Quiznos franchisee or not.
Fact: Joe wasn’t the only person who submitted comments under that post. Several other people added their comments; some of them claimed to be Quiznos franchisees. You’re welcome to read them and decide for yourself if y...

Here’s What This Window Genie Franchise Owner Didn’t Want
Greg told me he “didn’t want a retail store.”
So, I didn’t talk to him about franchise opportunities that required a retail storefront.
Franchise Search Tip: Knowing what you don’t want can quickly open the door to what you may want.
Does that make sense?
About Greg
Greg Pyles, of Fresno, California, wanted to find a suitable franchise business opportunity in which he’d be able to include his son, Jordan, in.
He reached out to me earlier this year for help and advice. After a brief phone call, he h...

Franchise Salespeople Are People Too
They really are.
And, we need them.
Franchise Salespeople
They sell franchises.
(Just stating the obvious, folks.)
It all starts with a sale, right?
That car you bought last year-it was a sale.
The washing machine that’s sitting in your laundry room-it was sold to you.
The computer or Smartphone that you’re reading this post on-it was sold to you, too.
And, speaking of sales, there are even franchise salespeople that sell sales-related franchise opportunities.
They Change Lives
Salespeople have the power to change lives.
Yours. Mine. Their own.
And, it’s safe to assume that you are looking into franchise business ownership opportunities because you’re ready to change your life.
Right?
If my last statement was factual, let the franchise salespeople that you’re speaking with-or are about to speak with, take a shot at it.
Sales Professionals
Isn’t it nice to purchase something from a polished sales professional?
Not slick; polished.
Like, Anthony.
And, when your purchase experience rocks…when it’s memorable, doesn’t your view of the sales profession get elevated?
I know a lot of franchise salespeople.
Most of them are very polished; very professional.
They’re a pleasure to work with.
When I was a franchise broker, my candidates rarely complained about their franchise salespeople.
My hope is that your franchise salesperson will be professional, too.
My experience tells me that the odds are in your favor.
