The first three chapters of "Lost" (and first chapter of "Over There") are no longer on Google Docs but will be re-posted on my brand spanking new "Facebook Pages" page during the first week of May. Hm, I wonder why...? ;)

Facebook Page
So I finally got around to creating a Facebook page. It's still in the works because it's another thing I have to find the time to do so it has taken me awhile. I swear I need an intern. Anyway, it's here: Facebook page
Feel free to "Like" if you like. There isn't much there now, but I'll try to get it together this weekend. What kind of stuff should you expect?
I'm thinking it'll be primarily for blog posts for those of you who prefer to get your updates on Facebook, but how about contests, prizes, early access to things, etc? Sound good?

"Current" teaser! - While you wait for "Lost"
In case you missed it, I posted the synopsis for "Current" the other day, you might want to read it or re-read it so this teaser makes sense:
This is Carmen, our narrator and main character, talking to Alessia, who is going to represent her in front of the tribunal. They just met a few moments ago and are now having a conversation."So, how many…like me have you represented?" I couldn't bear to even say the word."None," she replied with a weak smile.Crap. I gnawed on my bottom lip until the metallic taste of my blood entered my mouth. "Okay, how many like me have been executed?""All of them," she said way too cheerfully. Then she smiled. "But, in my defense, even with those stats, my record is still good, right'?"

Synopsis for Current, the next series
So "Current," a series I'm working on for the future (I'm sorry, I really need to update release approximations, like now), will be excerpted (it's really short...think movie teaser) in "Lost" if there's any room left!! But I wanted to release a synopsis for it today:
Carmen has no memories from before her eighth birthday, and there is one in particular from that year that she would rather forget, too. That was the year a suspicious drowning accident took her adoptive family, and every other one she stayed with after met a similar end, leaving her an orphan and a loner. She has been deathly afraid of water ever since but strangely drawn to it at the same time.
Now sixteen and barely making ends meet in Santurce, Puerto Rico, Carmen's life is forever changed one day when she's kidnapped and wakes up in a foreign place that she suddenly remembers from her childhood. A place where Troy, a young prince, has decreed that she go to trial for crimes she's pretty sure she hasn't committed. The penalty for which is death by guillotine.
Her only allies are the prince's sister, Alessia, who is planning to represent her before the tribunal that will decide her fate, and Kale, the son of the man who brought her there.
Carmen is sure that they have the wrong girl, but she can't deny the connection she feels to the place. With time quickly running out, will she be able to piece together the missing details of her life before it comes to an end at the edge of a very sharp blade?

I'll probably re-post the first three chapters of "Lost"
I'll probably re-post the link to the first three chapters of "Lost" soon because I know that there are a lot of new readers who may not know that they exist. So look out for that in the near future!

Good Reads and Amazon reviews! A thanks!
First, I want to take the time to thank everyone who reviews my books. To all of you who love my stuff, I don't really like the word "fan" so I'm glad some of you have become my "friends through reading" (I'm so cheesy! LOL). You guys are awesome! I even love you not-so-positive reviewers who'll stick around to see if you still hate the next installment! All are welcome.
But anyway, if you consider yourself a friend through reading and you want a heads up when I finally push "publish" on "Lost," please don't hesitate to drop me an email and I'll add you to the list. It's not really a list like a mailing list, but I have been keeping track of all the people who have emailed me and I'm just dropping them a note once the book is up on the sites. I'll obviously put up a blog post too.
One of the reasons I'm taking so long is that I want to make sure it's edited as close to error-free, if not, completely error-free as it can be. I've learned a lot since writing "Taken." So as soon as that is all wrapped up and I take another LOOOOONG look at it, I'll have actual news, instead of a blog post just telling you how much I love you. =)

In a few to several hours... LOL
I'll post the first chapter of "Over There," which is just a taste of what's to come. I should tell you that I had no plans of telling Sasha's story when I first wrote "Taken." None. This is first and foremost Jackson's story...but I know this gaping hole would've existed.
Her story kind of grew on me, especially because I started to want her to be a huge part of what happens in "Gone," the last book, either literally or figuratively. You'll have to wait to find out which and what her role is. I like it, I hope you do, too.
So anyway I'll probably create a google doc and/or just post the first chapter here. Until then...

"Over There" Sneakiest Peek Next Week
A week from today, I'll post the first chapter of Sasha's story that's included in "Lost." It's just a teaser, so I'm keeping it tightly under wraps about what's really going to happen when she gets to "our" world. It'll all fit together nicely though, I think. Hope you're having a nice week!
