Why….a rock star romance
I had a very good friend who was a local rock star when I was younger. He was a very talented musician although he never made it to the big time. I think there are a lot of cases like that out there, musicians with talent who are never discovered. I wanted to tell a story that contained all the elements; sex, drugs, rock and roll, love, hate, romance, ego. I also wanted to tell the story in a way that wasn't predictable. I understand some readers like everything neat and tidy, but I don't think that is what life is really like, and I just can't write that way. I have to feel the story, whatever it is, each and every time. It has to make me tear up, get mad/sad, laugh, like I hope the reader will. I like books that make me think and get me emotionally vested. Not all my novels are about rock stars, but there is something about them that people are drawn to. I will no doubt write another one someday, but for now there are too many other stories screaming in my head to get out. I love the reviews on "Boy In A Band" that readers have posted on Amazon, like I said not your typical Cinderella story. The sequel to "Boy In A Band" is "Casanova Cowboy" (contemporary romance) and there is a prequel to "Casanova Cowboy" "Racing Through Cornfields" (contemporary coming of age) Ryan Walker's story. See all my books on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords.

Called kissing
When we got into the car, he sat a minute then gripped the steering wheel tightly with both hands. “What was that?” he asked, looking straight ahead. “What was what?” I asked naively. “Don’t fuck with me, Morgan,” his voice was raised. “Oh, Sean?” I asked. “Yeah, Sean,” he spat out.
“Well, I think it’s this thing called kissing,” I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm. “You know, the same thing you were doing with the brunette.”

Tugging
The tide sucked at his feet as he walked, footprints in the sand filling with water and then disappearing. In a way it was sort of like life he thought, making an imprint and then wiping the slate clean. At times the waves would wrap around his ankles, foaming against his legs, tugging gently as if beckoning him into the sea. Ryan was ready for all the world had to offer.

Lose yourself
I didn’t answer, which answered him. I couldn’t tell if it was relief or hurt I saw in his eyes. Suddenly I felt guilty and looked away. I waited for him to say something, or tease me. Instead he picked up his guitar and started to play. He started with “Wild Horses” then stopped. “I know it’s your fav,” I heard him say. He started again with Styx's “Fooling Yourself”. He didn’t sing. I heard the words in my head. I knew this was his way of losing himself.
You will love Mathew and hate him……….EROTIC ROCK STAR ROMANCE……..lose yourself.

How old is the tuna?
When the coffee finished, she poured herself a cup and sat down at the counter to check her email. She deleted the spam first and then went through the remaining emails. Jenny had sent her one, subject “can’t wait”, with a picture of somewhere in the Bahamas. Her daughter had sent one telling her to have a good time and be safe. And Mack had responded, “Glad you got there okay. How old is the tuna in the fridge? Mack”. Just like Mack. Never saying too much she thought. His lack of emotion really pissed her off and asking her about left overs in the fridge. In their last fight, she'd screamed that he had no emotions. That she'd had to live the past twenty-two years dealing with his lack of them, the bastard. He’d acted shocked “well certainly I have emotions” he’d defended. She hadn’t meant that he had no emotions they were just so guarded. He’d never been gooshy about his feelings. Why did that bother her now?

Moral compass
Ryan often wondered if his moral compass was just a tad off, and Anna teased him about it. So much of the world was changing around him, had been since the sixties, but the seventies seemed to be even more misguided. Sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll were no longer reserved for hippies. It had become mainstream. Girls were forward, and when they wanted it, they no longer waited, they let him know.

Miss Goody Two Shoes
CONTEMPORARY ROMACE--Standalone or sequel to "Boy In A Band"
“You and Ryan?” Pat asked with a smirk. “What the fuck, sis?” He was already drinking a beer I noticed, kicking up his heels for morning I guessed. I flopped down on the couch next to him. “Shut up. We did Clown Day, we got a little loaded, did a hot tub and dinner,” I said. He cocked his head and gave me a look that implied he knew there was more. “And breakfast apparently,” he teased. “He had to take me back to my car at the resort,” I mock defended. Pat laughed long and heartily.
“I’ll definitely have to start calling you something other than Miss Goody Two Shoes. You’re starting to give her a bad rap,” he said.

Fill-in?
EROTIC ROCK STAR ROMANCE---AVAILABLE ON AMAZON (Kindle & paperback), BARNES & NOBLE, SMASHWORDS
He put his arm around my shoulder and I stiffened. “So what am I, Mathew?” I continued. “Some kind of fill-in? When you haven’t had a girl pay attention to you for a while, you pull me in? Do you do it in front of Bobby because there’s a pretty good chance I won’t object? Good old Morgan, she won’t cause a scene.”He finished his beer and went to get another. “No.” “No what?” I asked. “No, you’re not a fill-in,” he answered.
“What a relief,” I said sarcastically.

Messiness at it's most entertaining
Recent 5***** $0.99 on Amazon and Barnes & Noble Contemporary women's fiction
"Rachel felt like she hadn’t seen the Gem Rats in months. They’d fly by each other on their way in and out of the gym, but they hadn’t been together socially since Jillian’s house. It was time for a party, time to catch up. Stella kept her up-to-date on the gossip. She knew that Ali had ended the affair with her architect. That Stella had asked for a divorce and Tommy had moved out, and that Stella had gone to have a drink with Greg. That was an attraction Rachel did not understand. Nor did she understand how Stella could be so clueless about men. Even if she was crazy enough to spend twenty years in a shitty marriage, hadn’t she at least observed the people around her? Taken to heart and listened to other women’s stories, knew that men could lie and cheat?"
