That doesn't mean I don't revise, revise, revise. It just means that I can find that one opening line from which all else will flow. That is the secret answer to writer's block. Close your eyes and find the truest sentence you can think of for the scene. It can be very simple, three or four words. If it is true, the rest of the page will gush out.(less)

Dear Wilma,
Thank you for your message. The best feeling comes when a reader tells you they liked your work. I've received many queries about a sequel to Three Daughters and when I finish my current project, I will give it serious consideration. Before I write a sequel, I want to be sure I can do justice to the original story which was unique and compelling. The backdrop of history and social change was pivotal to the emotional lives of the three women. The current political climate in that part of the world would probably overwhelm any story. Still, there is Nijmeh to consider. (less)

“Every day, with all my heart, I will miss you. And each time I think of you, you will feel my blessing.”
Consuelo Saah Baehr, Three Daughters

“Her face in that subdued light seemed as fragile as the mist that rolled in before dawn and hovered magically before it delivered itself to the thirsty foliage.”
Consuelo Saah Baehr, Three Daughters

“I can’t stop thinking of you. You’re not cynical. You don’t cling. You don’t giggle. You simply wait. Like a beautiful cat that knows it’s a rare species and that eventually everything it wants will come.”
Consuelo Saah Baehr, Three Daughters
