So, as you've probably noticed, I don't come here very often because I find it extremely hard to navigate. Facebook and Twitter are much easier!!!

FYI ~ all of my old Baker historical westerns have been reissued with new covers. Also, my old Silhouette romances have also been reissued with new covers. You can see them at

My latest paranormal romance, A Fire in the Blood, is out now. Next up is Twilight Desires, due out next year. This is the 3rd book in my Morgan Creek series.

I'm currently working on a new story. You can get a peek at it at

I recently signed a new 2-book contract with Zebra.

Other than that, there's not a lot of news. I can't believe May is almost over. Time seems to go by faster every year.

Wishing you all a happy summer filled with laughter and good books.

August 31, 2016

So, my book, Twilight Dreams, will be out next month. If the title sounds familiar, it was previously published in a shorter version. When my NY agent bought the rights, they asked me to make it longer, which I did. So, it's basically the same story, only more of it

A good number of my old historical romances are now available as eBooks, with new covers by the wonderful Cynthia Lucas.

My next book, A Fire in the Blood, will be published in May.

I fell in love with the characters in Donovan's Woman, so much so, that I wrote Quinn's Lady, and I liked the new characters so much, I wrote Quinn's Revenge, mainly because I couldn't bear to part with the dragon! The last story is very short, but I felt I needed to give everyone a happy-ever-after!

Hope you're having a wonderful summer!!!!

The Internet is amazing. I was on Facebook and found a cover artist just when I needed one most. Having received the rights back to a number of my previously published books, I needed new covers, since the old cover art belongs to the old publisher.

Enter Cynthia Lucas., She is an amazing woman - she writes, she plays in a band, she designs gorgeous covers!!!!!

You can check out her work on my web pages at and

The cover for Love Forevermore is one of my favorites. It's so beautiful.

If you're an author looking for a cover, I highly recommend her!

Just dropping by to let you know I have a new book out -- DONOVAN'S WOMAN -- available from Kindle as an eBook or in print. I love this short story. I'm currently working on a sequel.

I have to apologize for not coming here often, but I find Goodreads incredibly difficult to navigate and spend most of my time on Facebook, which is much easier.

I hope you'll come visit me there.

December 16, 2015

Wow, I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. I am so NOT ready for Christmas!!!!

However, I am excited about the book coming out in September -- Twilight Dreams. If the name sounds familiar, it's because it was originally published earlier this year as a short story, but my NY publisher liked it and bought it. It's now a full-length novel.

I hope to have another short story published early in 2016. I'm not sure exactly what genre it fits into, but my critique group thinks it's the best thing I've ever written, and I tend to agree with them. Donovan's Woman has a dashing hero, a runaway princess, an evil brother, and a nasty witch. Who could ask for more?

I don't visit Goodreads often because, to tell you the truth, I find it really hard to navigate. Facebook is so much easier.

Please visit my webpage at where you can get sneak peeks at upcoming books. You can also enter my monthly contest. I give away a book every month. All you have to do to enter is sign my guestbook. For questions and info, please email me at

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy, blessed New Year.

I didn't realize it had been so long since I've been here. I have to say, the reason is, I find this site hard to navigate. Facebook is much easier. I just can't figure out how to do things, or post things here, except for my blog, which is easy.

I hope you're all having a wonderful year. I can't believe it's almost half over.

Not much happening here. Same old, same old. Writing new story. Looking forward to the publication of Night's Surrender in September. I love this book and this cover.

Wishing you all a wonderful summer!!!!

April 25, 2014

Hi ~ my book, Night's Mistress, has been nominated in the Affaire de Coeur Reader/Writer poll. I'm only 300 votes behind, so I'd sure love your vote.
It's quick and easy. Nothing to join, all you need to do is vote.

Thanks bunches. Poll closes May 1st, I think.

February 12, 2014

Happy February!

Night's Promise is in stores now! I hope you'll love this book as much as I do. Some books just seem to write themselves and this was one of them.

My historical, Under a Prairie Moon, long out of print, is now available as an eBook. This is one of my favorite time travel stories.

My two short stories, Masquerade and Maiden's Song, are now available in one print volume.

Hope all is well wherever you are. California is in the midst of a drought. It's been like summer here the last couple of days.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!

January 2, 2014

So, another Christmas has come and gone and we're at the beginning of a new year. I wish you all healthy, happiness, and nothing but keepers in 2014.

I went to see the movie, Saving Mr. Banks, last weekend. I thought it was really good. Made me laugh, made me cry. If it's a true story, as they say, then I'm amazed that the movie, Mary Poppins, ever made it to the big screen!!!!

I don't know if I'm supposed to do this here, but I'm doing it anyway. My book, Night's Mistress, is tied for 1st place on the Preditors and Editors Reader Poll. If you're so inclined, I'd love your vote.

Again, a happy New Year to you and yours.

December 19, 2013

I'm sorry to say, I don't get over to Goodreads very often, but I've had a busy few months.

I read the galleys for Night's Promise, coming out in February.

I published an eBook short story, MIDNIGHT AND MOONLIGHT.

I found an old - so old I wrote it on a typewriter! - book and typed it into my computer, and then let my eBook editor read it to see if it was worth publishing. She said she thought my readers might get a kick out of reading something I had written at the beginning of my career. The book, MAIDEN'S SONG, will be out in the near future.

I'm finishing up the 7th and final book in my Night series.

I've been Christmas shopping like a maniac and still have gifts to buy. And, of course, there's the usual day-to-day stuff - cooking, cleaning, doing the laundry, walking my dog, spending time with my family....

According to Goodreads, I've only read 3 books this year, but I can assure you I read a lot more than that.

If you ever need to get in touch with me in a hurry, please email me at I read my mal every day.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
