Discipleship Cognition
Jesus knew the choreographic and symphonic movements of his disciples–seen and unseen. He understood the methodologies of religion and relationship. He was the iron sharpener to keep them focused as He spoke of what was to come. It must have been a rewarding and intimidating experience to sit at the feet of Jesus. Although there were twelve disciples, Jesus was closest to Peter, John (the beloved disciple), and James the brother of John. One would assume that they had to be keen, willing and available to follow Him. To follow they could not look back, but thrust forward.
Leadership is suppose to sharpen us and teach us relationship. The believer is called to a work, quintessentially speaking, a challenging experience. However, it is designed to propel us forward. It is not “Occam Razor.” Aristotle said teleology is the idea that all things are designed for, or directed toward, a final result or purpose. In the ministry of leadership, discipleship, and servant hood, to every problem there is a solution, and God directs us to the solution. The easy way is not necessary the answer. The Word of God says, “Ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened.” Matthew 7:7 This lets us know that we are not alone in journey of discipleship.
In order to comprehend the purpose of ministry and discipleship, one has to be cognizant of the commission to serve. Christianity is a eastern religion, however, most try to serve God by means of a western ideology. Consequently, this is a lack of understanding and mere concepts of the bible. Nescient to who Jesus was and what one is called to, evokes a spirit of hypocrisy, apostasy and narcissism. Believer, there is no microwave science to studying the Word of God or serving. The ministry of God is joy as well as long suffering. Stay subservient to the master and you shall be rewarded (Mark 10:29)

The Cost for Discipleship
Real Situations Require Hinds Feet:
Matthew 8:14-26 lets us know there is a cost for discipleship–it shouldn’t be strange to the believer when the enemy attacks.
Following Jesus will cost you something. In the tempest, Satan’s plot is to create premature death–physically and spiritually. Know for sure; the storms are going to rage. Winds are going to blow. A fire will be lit just for you, but neither shall overtake you, Isaiah 43:2
You are audacious woman/man of God. Your attack is not strange. When the enemy has a great understanding of who you are, and the anointing upon your life– the greater the attack. Consequently speaking, He will try to rock your confidence and faith to ensure that everything you believed is null and void. His hypothesis is that you have only served God for things and mountaintop experiences. Satan goes for the juggle. “But God,” who has given us the power to rebuke the winds and change atmospheric conditions, warns us through the Peter walking on water experience that we are not subjugated to the courses of this world. We can walk in the supernatural. Many will say, “Lord I will follow you to ends of the earth,” but lack endurance. You must encourage yourself. No matter how grim it looks; speak to the dry bones and command them to live again– you are victorious over this situation. Your great reward shall be seen in the heavens and on earth. Blessings my friends.

_______________, first major public scientific achievement was the invention, design and construction of a reflecting telescope. He ground the mirror, built the tube, and even made his own tools for the job. This was a real advance in telescope technology, and ensured his election to membership in the Royal Society. The mirror gave a sharper image than was possible with a large lens because a lens focuses different colors at slightly different distances, an effect called
chromatic aberration
. This problem is minimized nowadays by using compound lenses, two lenses of different kinds of glass stuck together, that err in opposite directions, and thus tend to cancel each other’s shortcomings, but mirrors are still used in large telescopes. He was an important figure in scientific and, indeed, human history. He managed to revolutionize the fields of physics, math, astronomy and philosophy. He invented a new branch of calculus , new telescope and penned the laws of motion and the theory of gravitation.WHO IS HE?

LIFE

LIFE Magazine‘s purpose was to capture some amazing events. It’s founding editor, Henry Luce gave his description of the magazine’s mission, written in 1936, which resonates for more than half a century later:
“To see life; to see the world; to eyewitness great events; to watch the faces of the poor and the gestures of the proud; to see strange things — machines, armies, multitudes, shadows in the jungle and on the moon; to see man’s work — his paintings, towers and discoveries; to see things thousands of miles away, things hidden behind walls and within rooms, things dangerous to come to; the women men love and many children; to see and to take pleasure in seeing; to see and be amazed; to see and be instructed….”
Life is the sequence of physical and mental experiences that make up the existence of an individual. It is the period from an event until death, and within the hyphen there is much that takes place. It is not known how many questions a person may ask in a lifetime, but we know it is several. Jesus had many events, He exclaimed that the world (Bible) could not contain all of His events.
After reflecting from this thought, I had a question and some time to wonder, why people do what they do? After assessing ones life, some things are just life, other things–endless cycles. I watched an amazing movies last night ”Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close.” The cast was: Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, Viola Davis and more.
It was a great storyline–a young boys who has some form of autism, learns to deal with the pain of his father dying on 9-11. It was a tear jerker..
The movie provoked much thought. I thought about how my husband still misses his father, who passed away more than 20-years ago. It’s palpable that on his fathers birthday there are indelible memories. The assurance of joy is that God does give solace during these times.
Although a love one has passed on from this earthly life, if you had a relationship with them, you may still be able to remember the sound of their voice. Take a moment to think about it; you may hear their laughter, typical discourse of the day, etc.
Thinking on these things, I had a moment. I realized that I never had that experience, I never heard my father’s voice. Some have never had the opportunity to meet the seed giver, and, or the incubator; dad-or mom — the reason why they exist.
Things happen, I thought. How devastating is it to never meet a parent due to vicissitude circumstances, death, or narcissistic life styles. My heart was sore as I wiped the tears away from my cheeks. Issues of life are real and sometimes they hurt. My peace was God, He reminded me that although my dad walked away without ever meeting me, I was precious in the sight of God; I then smiled.
Many times people do what they do because as a child, there may have been trauma. Quintessentially, decisions and reactions are from empirical observations, and residue of prerequisites from their past. Reactions my even be a subjected view of life’s circumstances. The symptoms are insecurities, pathological diseases, addictions, etc., some leading to endless cycles.
My prayer is healing from all traumatic experience. I decree, we are not subjugated to the past. Unequivocally; we are free to move forward in victory; no setbacks and no delays.

A Road Called “Less Traveled”
Although the road named “Less Traveled” is a journey to expected success, many bypass its intersection and take the seemly faster route–a route that the majority would travel. Only a few will dare to journey the less traveled road. Those that are set apart will even pull out their camcorder and tape the scenic route experience. Yes, it’s a challenge, however, the results can be rewarding. On the journey you may experience some road blocks, storms and a few dead-end turns. That doesn’t mean quit or abort. The question is: What do you expect at your final destination?
It’s October and I am making my declarations now. Its seed planting time; there is anointing in the atmosphere to plant. I cannot afford to miss this opportunity. Most would wait until “New Years Eve.” That is when I want my seeds to begin sprouting. I have chosen to take the road, “Less Traveled;” twenty thirteen will be the result of me daring to believe God for what appears to be unreasonable for my life. I made the declaring; therefore, it shall be established. Why not make your declarations today.
Three reasons why many will not travel the road “Less Traveled.”
1. Trepidation of the end result. If God has given you vision, there will be provision. He will also give favor–lack of finance doesn’t limit your success. He (God), Who begun a good work in you, will complete it. Press forward, God will give you the know how and connections. In the interim, get your camcorder out and film the events along the way. You are going to need that film as proof of where you have come from. The scenic route will give the empirical evidence of an epic story to be told.
2. Doing it alone. More often than not, people who don’t understand your vision will walk away or even quit mid-way. They may even leave because the purpose in you is too great for them to comprehend, so they become envious and contempt. Don’t get upset. They are not educated enough to allow God’s wonders to work in you and your vision. Some things you have to do by yourself. Allow God to connect you to people that will support your vision–He will send them. Get out and network and don’t give up. Although, at times, the road may be arduous, you can make it. Many that have taken this road didn’t report of how easy it was, but of the challenges they overcame.
3. Insecurity within yourself. Many count themselves out before they begin. We have the propensity to believe the negative before we believe the positive. Don’t let the enemy counsel you. Remember Peter walked on water until he became subjugated to the courses of this world. You can go beyond what your natural eyes see– what you can even think, or imagine-pretty deep huh. Your past does not have to determine your future. Believe in yourself. Your challenges can be the anointing that propels you forward–it is your strength.
