Making Me His Focus – Moving forward with His guidance
God does focus on those who are humble and seek the fear of the Lord: Lord will establish the throne of His kingdom. He gives wisdom and understanding to keep the Law of the Lord in building the kingdom of God.
“Only the Lord give thee wisdom and understand, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the Lord. Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfill the statues and and judgements which the Lord charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong and of good courage; dread not nor be dismayed.” 1 Chronicles 22:12-13
Unequivocally, we need the Lord to direct in building the kingdom of God. Wisdom of the Lord is essential for guidance in our personal lives as well. Without God we can do nothing–we are lost and on a ship bound for disaster. Solomon and his writing are a great examples of how God will give wisdom and bless abundantly when our request are pure in heart which and focused on the mission we were called to accomplish.
In this passage we see that Solomon prays for wisdom.
“In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream that night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. And Solomon said, Thou hast showed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on; his throne, as it is this day. And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in. And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou has chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. Give therefore thy servant an understand and heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great people?” 1 Kings 3:5-9; 2 Chronicles 1:7-12
The Scripture also delineate that Solomon is a little child in his own eyes. This passage delineates that he experienced humility and dependence upon Jehovah, and for this reason God loved him and gave the privilege of asking anything he wanted to.
This sets the pattern for all who desire to please God and be blessed by Him. Solomon desired gifts that would best qualify him for his work and calling in life. Too often men pray for gifts which, they think, will make them great in the eyes of others. They want to imitate the greatness of some other man and they are not called to qualified for that particular work.
If were to fast forward the time in western culture, question would be:
Are we established by our toys?
Is it a self-absorbed to think that, the more you have, the prosperous you are?
It is important to check our motives that they are not selfishness and for self-gratification. We must hear from God and decide the cause– the chief desire of Solomon was to be his best by divine inspiration and gifts to judge this, so great people.

The Master of Suddenly
God is the master of suddenly; there are times you need faith to believe and times that you need a miracle to come forth.
I previously spoke about Martha in the New Testament book of St. John, the 11th chapter. Consequently, I cannot speak of her without talking about the mystique Mary who washed the feet of Jesus. She is the sister Martha and Lazarus. She is the Mary who went to Jesus as soon as she heard the Master had called for her. In this passage, verse 32, Jesus was troubled after he saw Mary as well as the Jews weeping. He was moved against the satanic power that had Lazarus in a grip. Once again He faced a conflict with Satan, however this time, it was the power of death.
When He saw where they laid Lazarus, He wept. This passage delineates that Jesus knew her pain–Lazarus, so she perceived had died. And although He wept–a didactic of the shortest but most expressive scripture in the Bible, Jesus caused His enemies to acknowledge His love and compassion. It is interesting that they had no idea that a greater miracle was about to be performed than the healing of the blind man. God wants to do greater than the last miracle and, or the last testimony in your life. This was a set-up for a greater blessing. Let us go a little deeper: The Jews generally cut their graves out of the faces of cliffs. The stone in this case did not lie upon the the grave opening, but leaned against it. Until God completely shuts the door, there still a possibility for a miracle. See each situation with the mind of Christ. Things that seem to be out of the norm, could be for the glory of God in your life.
Jesus told them to remove the stone–a stone the lay upon the cave and not cut into the cliff. Martha said that Lazarus stinketh–it had been four days. Jesus, again, asked a question. “Said I not unto thee, that if thou wouldest believe, thou shoulest see the glory of God? Jesus began to speak to His Father– He knew He had a covenant with Him. He thank the Father for hearing His prayer. He went on to say; “And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by, I said it, that they may believe that thou has sent me.” This suggest that Christ had already prayed and was heard, receiving the will of God in this case before He started on His trip to Bethany. He no doubt was led of God to delay the trip as recorded in Chapter 11. Verse 43 delineates that Jesus, with a loud voice called forth Lazarus and he that was dead came forth. He spoke loud enough that all standing could hear the command and see that even the dead were subject to Him.
My friend, God is the master of suddenly–one call, text, mail or the alike can change your life forever. Hold on–only believe that nothing is too hard for God ~ Pastor T Carter.

Call It Forth – Break The Chains of Bondage
The New Testament John, chooses specific miracles of Jesus Christ to write about. He also writes that the libraries of this world could never contain all the works of Jesus Christ.
This is one of the greatest miracles. Chapter 11 demonstrates a radicle denouncement of sickness and the curse on bondage. Here, Jesus, the resurrection, calls forth Lazarus whose body after 4-days, began to decompose. This familiar story is to remind us that, miracles still happen.
John delineates that Lazarus of Bethany was sick. Lazarus was the brother of the mystique Mary who anointed the feet of Jesus. The writer also notes that it was the town of Mary and Martha, which denotes a loving household. The passage also connotes their relationship with Jesus.
Jesus was at the Jordan when the word came to him; it was the same river that was spoken of about John the Baptist. The messenger who traveled two days, came to inform Jesus that the one he loved was sick. Jesus’ response was to assure them that the sickness was not unto death–it was for the glory of God.
Jesus loved Martha, Mary and Lazarus. Although they were twenty miles away–a two days journey, He intentionally stayed two days before he left to see Mary and Martha. This was not a sign of his indifference to hear them, but it was to strengthen their faith. he wanted a more glorious testimony–a miracle.
Typically, Jesus traveled 10-12 miles a day, depending on seasonal daylight and mission. But on this day he incorporated a delay– the process of disciplined faith. It was about a 4-5 day journey before Jesus would get to Lazarus. This act was intentional to prove the power of God. Jesus incorporates disciplines to temper our spiritual lives. They are designed to channel us toward him. These experiences enable us to gain stock with God.
Bethany was at the top of the mount of olives–you could see for miles away. It was near Jerusalem, about two-miles away. Martha saw them coming and went out to meet Jesus. She told Jesus that if he would have been there, her brother would not have died. Contrary to their senses, she knew in her spirit that whatever Jesus asked of the Father, He would do it. Jesus replied that Lazarus was only sleeping– a term at the time for the believer. Today, we are taught through the Scriptures, that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection, if you believe in me, you will never die.” Jesus asked do you believe– yes, or no? He challenged Martha’s faith. “Thou are the son on God.” Martha replied with “Yes.” This passages demonstrates a dominate and strategic position to call forth life of what appears to be dead. It makes a declaration for the diabolical to loose it hold and set free that which was once bound. What appears dead to the natural eyes, is not always dead–everything is not always what it seems.
There are several messages from this passage:
In the delay, God has a strategic plan for you
Whatever appears dead — call it forth that life returns: marriage; finance; job; etc.
Command it be loosed from the curse of bondage
Let no person be deceived in thinking he is sick for God’s glory, for there is no Scriptural foundation for such modern fallacy.
We have eternal life
Sickness has no power over us
In Jesus, it’s never too late- what appears dead can live again
What’s delayed is not always denied

The Commission
Let us not lose focus. Our commission is to compel the lost and not become static by only preaching to the choir. In Matthew 9:13 “…For I came not to call and invite [to repentance] the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with God), but sinners (the erring ones and all those not free from sin).” AMP. Here Jesus likens Himself to a physician, who goes where there is a genuine need.
As we know, there is much work to be done in the Kingdom of God. God is still a healer, deliver, and restorer. Speaking from an empirical view, signs and wonders, unequivocally, accompany our fervent and effectual prayers. They absolutely produce mind-blowing results–if we believe.
We can never allow our relationship with Christ, or experience to be a hey-day. By His Spirit we can remain strong in the Lord– that our joy remains. Refuse to become jaded in your study and meditation of God’s Word. Everyday think, on His goodness–for He shall carry you through.
