march sixth two thousand and thirteen

Hi All,

Lots to talk about today, so let’s jump right into it!

Eidylon episode 5 went on sale Monday, and as I had previously stated, that will be the last volume to be published in the regular serial format. Currently, the first two volumes are tied up in KDP Select until the beginning of April, but at that point, I will berelabelingall the parts with new titles and shifting the series over to a novella format, marketed as such. In other words, the books will no longer say “serial novel” on th...

delayed but coming

Hi all,

Just a brief note to say that Part 5 of Eidylon is coming soon. As I mentioned previously, my wife has been very sick (the doc has had her off work for two-and-a-half weeks now), and I myself have been flirting with illness off and on. But, most importantly, between nursing her and other issues currently, I’ve fallen behind on Eidylon.

For the sake of making a promise I know I can keep, Part 5 will be on Amazon next Monday (3/4/2013).

As per my previous announcement too, this will be the...

decision points

Hello again, you fine people,

It’s been a few weeks, and, well, they haven’t been particularly good all around this side. My wife’s been sick, I haven’t been particularly well, I’ve gotten discouraged by both, and on top of it all, my motivation to be out here with you lovely people has been dwelling in the cellar–along with the sales ofEidylon.

So, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking while nursing my wife back to health and while forcing myself to sit at the computer to work on a serial that (al...

Eidylon 3

Hi All,

Another couple of busy weeks have passed me by. I find myself so apathetic when it comes to maintaining this blog, though I’m going to have to try to be a bit better about that. For now, though, there are a fewEidylon related bits of news:

Part 3 is on sale now at Amazon. Here’s the link: The Eponymous Link!

Also, Part 2 will be on a free giveaway at Amazon tomorrow and Wednesday. I’ll post the link to my Facebook page when the special starts, so all you Facebookites can share it with yo...

Eidylon part 2 (updated)

All right,Eidylon: Birth of an Empireepisode 2 is now live at Amazon. Finally.

Here’s the link.

Thanks for your patience!

*********

Hi All,

Just a quick note to apologize that there is a problem with the second episode of Eidylon going live today.

I uploaded the file last night, and everything seemed to go along fine. I got my email from Amazon saying it was published, but the book is not showing up in the bookstore.

I’m trying to get this sorted out now. It’s the first hitch I’ve had with Amazon’s...

eidylon lands

Just a quick note this New Year’s Eve to let you all know thatEidylon: Birth of an Empire, episode 1 is now on sale at Amazon. It should be available from Barnes&Noble any day now as well.

***

In a war between immortal gods, time means nothing, and those now losing can afford to spend centuries, millenia even, to plot their eventual victory. In Eidylon, one dark god does so. He is imprisoned beneath a mountain, supposedly defeated, but he has time.

Time enough to draw a far-off refugee to the va...

eidylon maps

As the release date for Eidylon: Birth of an Empire episode one approaches, you may be interested in the world I’ve created for this fantasy romp through time. Some of these maps have been shown before, but they have seen much work in the intervening weeks/months, so they should be a little bit fresh.

This is the world map. I say “world,” but clearly we’re talking “continent,” and that is especially pertinent given that the novel begins on a different continent altogether, though we soon embar...

it is coming (and bonus Hobbit review)

Just a quick update today, given that I seem to have dropped off the face of the earth in the past few weeks.Eidylon: Birth of an Empire is coming along nicely, and we are on track to begin serializing on December 31!

It’s been one heck of a semester at the university, and I’ve just managed to get final essays graded on Tuesday. So, with that time-suck out of the way, we should now have a clear channel to publishEidylon on schedule.

On another note, what did you all think ofThe Hobbit film? I s...

bad news but not sad news just ad news

Well, if that’s not a fantastically involved title, I don’t know what is. Let’s explain it, shall we.

After a lot of a thought since my last post, after a lot of work and a lot of stress, I have some bad news. It isn’t sad news in that no one has died (which includes my book). It is ad news in that I have to now re-advertiseEidylon to all and sundry.

I simply cannot make my intended release date of December 3. I’ve got too much on my plate with the semester ending and my inept scheduling to dea...

eidylon: dates, cover, story, maps

Hi all,

A big post today, at least so far as information goes. I think it’s time (past time, maybe) to start talking about this bookEidylon: Birth of an Empire that I’ve been hinting at, showing some maps for, and flashing covers of. The big announcement is that of a release date. After much thought and planning, I have settled on a schedule for releasing the serial novel that I think will suit both you readers and me.

One of the “complaints” I got regardingThe Scion of Abacus was the month-lon...
